That the sis visit went much better than I thought, that I didn’t have another outburst again like I did in May, that I was far more self aware, as exhausting and challenging as that can be, I think it also helped me be more in the moment and also more careful about things in general. I was usually able to catch if I was starting to become triggered by stuff, but instead of getting mad at myself for whatever my feelings were, I made myself accept and deal with them in the moment.
Also thinking about my grandpa being a bit on the strange and grumpy side. Sure is hard to talk to, who knows what that’s about. I’ve seen him telling very lively, funny and fun stories to people before, but he rarely does that with me. No idea why because I am always asking him to tell me about that kind of stuff.
Anyway, doing my best to just not go there cos who the heck knows. He’s quite odd and always has been, not the most social of people and has very few friends. Was nice of him to drive us home though so just need to stay feeling grateful for that and not focus on how hard he is to talk to. Some people have the natural ability to keep a convo going in an easy and effortless way, and some really do not. Just how it is.
