What book are you currently reading?

Epictetus' Enchiridion.

Had to look that up. Stoicism. A "handbook". Let me know how it compares to other system's ideas.

@Angie I've had his book on my list of 'books I should read,' but lately haven't had the motivation for that kind of reading. I'm curious what your thoughts on it will be, if you feel like sharing at some point.

This Book Is Gay by Juno Dawson. Amused, I picked it up on the spur of the moment.

It is a type of book that is unusual to me, it is a memoir, written as a letter to his (then) 15 year old son

a powerful statement on racism in America

I highly recommend, but buckle your seatbelt.

I will take it out from the library. I tend to go back and forth from fiction I can escape into, to non-fiction.

re-reading Contact, by Carl Sagan

I'm not sure when I last updated, but this month I read the novella Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan (amazing) and The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde (slightly disappointed because of the immense hype, but I can't say that it isn't brilliant).

Right now I'm (slowly) reading Land by Maggie O'Farrell. It's a long one but it's fascinating, and the writing is, indeed, gorgeous.

Experiments with Breathing ....a year of connecting my heart and lungs by Scott Lamps (he and his wife Ida have developed a yoga and body movement style called GHOSH which I also just got the practice manual of and will take my time with. The first book I named has 38 different breath counts they think are "best", CHARTS for breath counts, physiology and resonance related input etc.....
