Last week was dentist and today was the doctor, results nice and consistent, a bit more weight loss but all numbers staying good for blood pressure, glucose, and all the other labs. That is a relief when you age, things staying level nothing going out of whack to worry about.

Shopped for a couple of things for myself, for winter workouts. I wrote a lot more than usual in my journal today.
Same as you, I write in my journal.
Also walked for 2 hours today, which keeps away any defeatist feelings. And it may seem odd to you but during the walks, I talk to myself. I hope you don't think I'm an oddball for doing that, because, after all, it helps me a lot.

I didnt let my temp job make me feel worthless. Even though it's really bad pay. :( And all i could find for work right now.vafter interviewing like 15 times.. and putting out hundreds of job apps. It's my second week here. And I made some mistakes last week that just showed up. So the boss was not impressed. But I am not stupid or worthless. And life can still have meaning outside of this job.. and im not worthless or dumb.

So I didn't allow the self hate game today. ( it was a very rough morning)

I deliberately avoided checking anything on the house on the way back from my walk. I know there are problems. But recently I've thought "I'll just check everything's OK", glanced at things, seen something else that looks like a problem, spiralled, and ruined my weekend. I'm trying to get it sorted - painfully, and slowly, with lying, scammy, flaky tradespeople overrunning the entire country - but I don't need to get myself caught in another anxiety loop today. Fuck that right now, my nervous system needs some downtime.

I went downtown for brunch with some fantastic friends that I had not seen in too long. I got a breakfast burrito but I took out the potatoes because one starch per meal is more than enough right now, and I am NOT skimping on a tortilla! So I felt good that I was not going to pass out from the carb crash on the drive home. I also got a long walk in by accompanying my friends back to their car, which was in the opposite direction of where I parked. I got almost 5K steps in, which is twice my daily average and that was before noon.
