Leftovers of italian sub from yesterday.
I had a sub too! Mine was a sausage sub with grilled onions, green peppers, provolone cheese, and pizza sauce. I got it from Penn Station yesterday because of their buy one, get one free deal for National Sandwich Day. Yum.

(Last night I had a chicken teriyaki sub with grilled onions and mushrooms and Swiss cheese.)

my wife cooks it and uses it in many cooked dishes but i am not a fan of cooked daikon. i love it uncooked. crunchy and refreshing.*bounce
Daikon is good. I like the pickled yellow kind I’ve had in sushi rolls or on the side of other Japanese dishes (oshinko?)
i love freshly made saurkraut cold out of the barrel
Don’t know if I’ve ever had it that fresh, but I do love me some sauerkraut.

Good oshinko is hard to find. But usually even the not so good is good. Which reminds me, I haven't had any in quite a while.
... And that sauerkraut I haven't had since I was a kid.
