Actually this gavre me a bittersweet smile, with few moments in which my eyes filled with tears:

"I was born with a happy heart. I've always tried to let that shine even during my dark times. I'm one of those people who, even if things are not right, goes about trying to make it as right as I can rather than just lying around on my ass and wallowing in it all day. I think, "Well, I can either do this or I can do that." I choose to get up and try to make it better if I can...

Of course, I try to improve every day. If there's a better outfit, I want to wear it. If there's a better song, I want to write it. If there's a better record, I want to record it. If there's a better movie, I want to make it. I will continue to be as good as I can be. And I intend to keep coming up with new ideas all the time."

My friend has notified me that he has purchased a flesh-colored banana hammock to mow his lawn in. This is his solution to people speeding on his road.
OMG that’s funny, lol. What, no “Borat” styled leotard (man-kini?) in neon green? BTW I found one on Amazon at $17

My flesh is pink, as in the inside of a guava pink 😨 . So flesh colored for me would be basically the same neon hue, but in pink. Fortunately for society, I don’t have a lawn to mow. Therefore, the world is spared from such an atrocity 🤣

It rained today. A decent amount too. Also, my neighbor pruned his half of our shared hedge. He actually prunes more than his half of the top which is always so very nice. Hopefully, I will get my half done this weekend.
I’m kind of tangentially interested in topiary. I’ve never done it, but I’ve heard that after you prune a hedge or brush, it gets more dense the next time it grows out. Do this for long enough and the hedge is yours to sculpt, bounded only by your imagination (well, that and your skill with those huge pruning shears).

I had a somewhat tender moment with a horse yesterday. He was displaying certain body language that suggested he was not in the mood to be pushed around, but the horse handlers there don’t exactly consult the horse on how the horses feel.

So I later hung out near his stall and when he came to investigate, I put my hand on the edge of the horizontal bars at his nose level. He sniffed at me for a bit, and I felt calmer. I hope he did, too. BTW he seemed to approve of me, lol.
