Rabbits not threathening, offensice, scary or mean.
THEY ARE EVIL   !!!!!!

I'm called blub by some friends. Fishes say blub and fishes arent really intelligent. It means what I say or how I act is stupid and dumb.
But I act stupid and dumb to hide my emotion for others.
Its my mask with a fake smile
And fishes open and shut their mouth
Like they want to tell you something, but they cant
And I do that too.
But boys rather see it as the mouth of a blow upp doll

Though I like the name it sounds better than my real name
blub, To me, that sounds so negative!

Onewholisten- I LOVE your explanation.

I love to see all the various avatars too.
My Avatar is cuz I feel very unwanted, unnoticed at this time in my
life, by those closest to me. The RED box is my favorite color.
This is my first forum I belonged to and I am learning.

My sn is my intials.
I was not feeling too creative the day I signed up.
Guess my brain was numb and just stuck with that.
It gets to me that for some reason I can't think of screen names
that I will remember--memory loss of old age, harhar, hahahha

This is very long. 5 pages.. this topic so, please forgive me for not remembering at the moment who started this question.. Usually, I write things down.. Can I find a pen.. when I have a million? Nooooo.. Thank you... great question here and topic.

I have wondered how people chose their names.. and why but never thought to ask.. everyone here are all wonderful and beautiful and it helps me to get to know you a little better. I really like questions and discussions like this..

I chose my name because I had a Romanian aunt, who was a gypsy, and also a fortuneteller, and my uncle loved her deeply. I had a Hispanic aunt.. Both passed away before I got to know them when I grew up and my uncle passed away shortly after my Romanian aunt did..

I also love the Spanish language..(and other languages.. always wanted to study lot and learn many languages.. did some but didn't take or have the time to do more, maybe sometime, comes easy for me.. and had 8 pen pals growing up in different countries and at school, had many friends who were exchange students..)

Gitana, in Spanish means gypsy. I have another name I have used, not here, gitanasol.. Gypsy sunshine.. It is so weird, when in high school, had to do a book report and I chose to do one on Gypsies.. and I didn't know then that my aunt was a gypsy.. and I loved Spanish.. rusty now.. haven't studited it for while.. can read, translate, write it, spell it.. just need to be confident to practice more talking but have nobody to talk to right now.. and practice with.. It comes back to me.. though when I get into it.. talking..

On my mom's side of her family, I would love to learn more about them, but it was a disgrace and blemish on my mom's family "name " and forbidden to even talk about my 2 aunts because they weren't accepted into that side of the family. I would ask questions and nobody liked that.. when I was younger. Someday, I hope to find out more.. when I have time and feel up to it..

I was told that when I was 16 I looked like my Aunt Rosa, Tia Rosa.. visting family in California.. my great aunt thought I was her as I was sitting on the side of the pool with my feet in water.. and on the other side, from the house.. my great aunt called me Rosa several times.. then when she got closer to me.. she told me that for a minute, from a distance, I looked like my Tia Rosa.. I asked her about Aunt Rosa.. Well, change subject.. and caused a slight problem when I went into my mom's cousins house after visiting my great aunt.. and suddenly asked about who Aunt Rosa was? Well, that wasn't very good..

Sorry, long story.. and more with my mom's cousin daughter, 2nd cousin to me.. when she sent me some genealogy about family.. Says hispanic.. as well as other, so I e-m'd her or called her and asked her about Aunt Rosa.. she said she never heard of Aunt Rosa.. okay.. she put hispanic.. etc. and I told her what happened when I was younger.. okay.. she was going to check into it.. surprised .. never heard back and my mom's side of family, grew up big on genalogy.. however, left lot of details out.. well, sorry for long ramble..

You all are great.. and thank you for sharing.. this is fun.. love hearing from other people.. great topic! Hope to get to know you all better..

Love

What a great question! I loved reading all the replies.

Mine is pretty self explanatory: it's what my 4 year old says when I cry.

Breaks my heart.

I'm going to echo the sentiment many have expressed here... this is a great thread. I, too, have wondered why people chose the name they're using. I love to read the stories behind the name. I've always been the kind who loved the "behind the scenes" stuff, lol.

I chose bipolarkitty because I have bipolar and for right now, that defines me. I'm hoping that time will change that and it will just be a part of who I am, but I'm not there yet. The kitty part is for my cat Spot. I swear she's got bipolar too. She's definitely got the wicked mood swings, lol. Also, I've been told I have cat eyes. Hence, bipolarkitty. I thought about capitalizing it to read BipolarKitty, but I'm too lazy to keep typing caps, lol... they're almost as bad as those dang _underscores_. hehehe:tongue:

My avatar is my favorite painting called Girl With A Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer. I love the expression on her face. I can't pin it down, but it reached out and grabbed me the first time I saw it and have loved it ever since.

shellz

I picked shellz because that's how my nephew's and niece's pronounce my name when they first started talking. Its now a name that is used by pretty much my whole family when they speak to me. Anyways, I think its better than what my first name is

My avatar I chose is one that describes me, I think. It reminds me of how my life keeps going on even though I am at the bottom staring up it. It seems like every step I take forward, I take two steps back. I like, dont care if anybody else doesn't.

Mine is from the tv show MXC. It's a japanese game show dubbed into English for comic effect. "Right you are Ken" is what one of the host's says often to the other when the other makes an observation. You don't even notice it at first but when you do it's hilarious.

I agree with the adage that 'the eyes are a window to the soul'; I believe that out of all the human expressions, the gestures made with one's eyes are the most authentic...when I chose this name, I was heart broken and deeply saddened. Big hugs, Jackie

Gmork was creature formed "half of lies, half of truth" in the fantasy novel The Neverending Story. In Fantastica he took the form of a large wolf, on Earth he looked human.

Since I'm making a conscious effort to cover up how suicidal I feel to those around me, it felt like the perfect choice, including the fact that he ultimately wound up in the Nothing.

My avatar is just some wolf in an aggressive posture I found.

Always been facinated by things in the night sky - planets and stars and stuff. jus love the idea of being just under the stars hence in starlight. I live in a city at the mo, so loads of light pollution, i dont get to see the stars. Here i can be under starlight, if that makes sense.
