• IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Please read THIS THREAD about a rebrand for SF.

alone

@CongratsbabyBut there's no story, events or for that matter self, left to write about.
Not communicating is one of the signs that you're entering a spiral. I'm worried.

Please don't give up on communicating. Even if you're just post "I'm still here", or "mrmph", it's still something. You don't have to say much to still maintain a lifeline with SF.

Sending hugs if you would like hugs

No, it's fine, you're fine @Pebble mouse . I think of you as well.
I wrote it in a less than clear way. That happens even more when I'm not doing well.

I don't want you or anyone to think my not doing well has beencaused here on sf. I've hit a very rough patch, no friends, and need to figure out how I'm to get past it.
No advice here... just wanted to tell you how important you are. Your views and opinion deserved to be shared. Good or bad... someone will learn something from them... maybe even yourself. i for one enjoy what you have to say at any given moment.

Hugs if wanted.

i fully agree with KM... There is no need to worry about words.

i also want to add something here...

You feel you are in a pit with too high of walls to climb out... That's what we in SF are for... to help you out of said pit. If you do not wish to get out yet... that's okay too. We will sit at the rim of said pit till you are ready to climb out. i know i am speaking for others here... however i also know that many here feel the same. i see it in everything i read!

You are loved, you are needed, you are wanted! If not by yourself right now... that's okay. We will step in and take over for a while so you can rest.

HUGS!

I feel like I have risen a bit, a small climb partly up the edge of this. I'm not free of the problems. Whatever this is it has had me stuck on a kind of bouning trampoline of anxiety and depression. My mind has had to turn down its processing, and, lol I never all that clever before this happened.

So if I've said some crappy things lately both to myself and to people including here on sf, I'm not going to berate myself. Thhere are reasons for me beoing lost and broken, and even though I have written way too much here, there are other reasons too, which I've managed, thankfully, to have kept back.

I'm very grateful for the intormation I've gleaned from a few of the books I've read recently. And grateful to music, particularly jazz. I feel different - and I'm taking that as a good sign.

I realized that after my children grew up, most of my friends were parents of my children's friends. I couldn't reach out to old friends for fear that I would cry if they asked how I was, so I felt alone. Today I feel it helps me even if I'm at a class, where I can converse among others. Even thought about joining a non denominational church. Wish we lived closer, as I can picture us being buds, if you dont mind me saying so.

Glad you are climbing up the edge. In my half-awake state with dust on the screen, I read "small climb" as "snail climb" - kind of works either way 😆 I think you are pretty clever, in all sorts of ways 🙂

Thanks @AvidFan lol snail works, as does small but fierce bird!, or maybe turtle, like my usual pace as a back of the pack runner. 🏃🏼‍♀️✨

@Lane that's sweet of you to say, thank you. Luckily I'm an artist and often kind of enjoy being alone. Plus as one of those people with bred in the bone wanderlust, I've moved around this country and others several times. I feel most at home on the other side, but that's impossible at the moment. Anyway I suppose a natural consequence is that it's more difficult to grow and nurture friendships.

Does anyone here take a med for anxiety, if so does it help you a little, more than a little, a lot?
Yes, I am prescribed Clonazepam (Klonopin). It helps a lot, but you have to be careful with it. You should only take it for a short period, as you will develop a tolerance and dependence. Some doctors prescribe Seroquel for anxiety. There are also beta blockers (they reduce the physical symptoms of anxiety), although I have never tried them.

Good luck and a (hug) to you.

Thank you @Pebble mouse, thaat's exactly the sort of information I was wondering about. It is always been a big problem for me and has gotten worse again, lately. I'm considering my options; if i talk to a doctor I prefer to not be entirely reliant on their knowledge and opinions.

(h) back if you want.
