Good morning!

I slept, but fitfully. I'm not sure why. Too many dreams and all of them anxiety-related. Star is happy, though. I'm up earlier to feed her. For a cat that is not overweight, my little Princess Star sure loves her meal times! Yesterday, sis and brother-in-law decided that we would take Dad out for dinner. We had a nice time. :smile: The temperature has dropped and it's going to be very cold for the whole week. Winter the way I remember it. :laugh:

hi Acy adn good morning there.. i went back to sleep a few times and think just maybe gotten enfu by now.. blues and crud has gone away for now.. john joined m e at 4:30 and we are having a beatles music celebration.. 65 adn beatles IV adn now their first one wwwwith i want to hold your hand.. been too long since enjoyed this music. really good tunes. adn puts my head in a good place.

Afternoon!

Just after getting rid of a nasty headache. It was awfully bad. Did not get much sleep last night, about 1 hour in total..for some reason or another, my mind just would not switch off even after taking heavy sleeping tablets. I have the selection process for the samaritans later on this evening, I'm a bit nervous about that. Wish me luck please?

Heyroo everyone!

Just finished tactics training, and am looking forward to other types of training in the coming week. I've decided, rather than loading myself down with new material each day, I will study it in week allotments... I mean seriously, what is the rush? I need to get familiar with different types of openings too. Balance in all things.

Cafe Tuesday Jan 22nd

morning out there.. how's it going today??? i got some sleep so far.. need more. after sunrise and hopefully some warming and thawing of the roads off to 711 ahnd some marlboros and donuts and mega and powerball ticket.. i need to shave again.. starting to lose control with that again.. doing much better these days with the dvd and itunes music purchasing .. at least seem to be exhorting some control there.. some more of LOst season 2 today.. at this rate going to take a week for ready to move on with this.. coffee is ready..

Good morning!

Star let me sleep until almost 7 a.m. She has been fed and watered and is asleep on the bed again. It's a loved cat's life! :cat: I'm sipping my coffee now, but feeling that intravenous coffee might be more helpful. :laugh:

I need to get out of the house today, but it's so cold here that the weather office has issued a severe cold alert. I will probably go to a mall and walk around for a bit. Tonight I'm back to the volunteer training - I have a "shadow" shift tonight, where I sit with a responder as she/he takes calls. I do another shadow shift later this week, then I'm to start taking calls myself in February. :smile:

Jimk, thanks for the John Denver music. Good song to make people feel like soaring to great heights. I hope you get to 711, do your shave, and enjoy your show. :hug:

got back to sleep finally and now just heard zoomies in the toilet .. glad to have him with me in a minute.. this song keeps popping up to me this morning.. first on directv music stations and then on pandora.,, in couple of minutes going to dig thru and find their cd and raise the rafters with it this time..lol hope neighbors do not call the police on me..lol

Morning all

I'm dragging today, as I was up at 2:30, and then against at 5:30 with voices bickering. Why can't this stop for a little while? I feel that I have no control. I just wanna run away sometimes.

Anyway, greeting Jim and Acy! Jim, you really need to rouse the neighbours! Sleeping too long is detrimental to one's health! lol!

Acy, I hope the shadowing goes well. I remember when I had to shadow sometimes. It was easy to see what people did on the phone. It was fun!

Tommy Tom is sunning in the window. He was sleepin with me at the foot end of the bed. He's a good boy. I love him to pieces!

Anyway, we are off!

morning out there.. how's it going today??? john with momma nd i have spent last 2 hours trying to wake nad thaw out from the med fog.. maybe just easier to go back to bed..lol got to pay off little bit left on best buy card for the 2nd ipad.. glad i got 3 warranty extension on this one as so much usuage already got some glitches and stuff that should not ought be happening.. temperatures seem to have made it out of the freezing zone.. glad of that but rest of country now seems to have artic temperatures laid on them now for god know's how long???

back itches and cannot reach it no matter how hard i try.. need zoomies nad his fingernails..lol sleep peacefully now my son.when he gets back home think we do safeway and centrum vitamins adn flashlight batteries.. maybe come up with a few more items this mornign???

yesterday my almost new PS3 died a painful death.. no matter what i did could not get the cursed little thing to turn on. when temperatures warmed zoomies and i took back to best buy.. geek squad hemmed nad hawed. and finally gave me a brand new same model to take home. that was not their first thought..lol spent all yesterday afternoon setting up and adding stuff i had on the old one.. live long this one please.. time to head back to couch and crank up the music again..

Good morning!

I went to bed late and woke up early. Anxiety! Driving back from volunteer shadow shift, my car Check Engine light came on. Will be at the dealership when it opens and hope that they can resolve in record time at very low cost. (I'm feeling very frustrated with life at the moment...I cannot get a break, it seems. I pay off the big outstanding bills with the settlement from ex, and then my check engine light comes on.)

Jimk, glad the geek squad did the right thing and replaced your PS3! We used to have a "backscratcher" when I was growing up and I have seen them since in my city's Chinatown - they look like a little curved hand on a long handle. (Jimk, perhaps you could find one for when Zoomies is unavailable.) OMG! Maybe they're not supposed to be backscratchers :shy: and my apologies for a cultural boo-boo to anyone if I've just been offensive...(but darn those gadgets did work wonders!).

Well, not a lot of time as I have to get the car to the dealership soon and be first in line! Pray for us that it's nothing major and that it's a fast job!

Trying to keep house warm at -12 F (-24 C ). Stretching capabilities of pellet stove and had turn on electric heaters. Hopefully warm up by weekend.

Another Dr appt today - makes 5 Dr appt and 5 days in hospital since Jan 1st - great way to start New Year - hopefully February brings better. Was thinking earlier I have not left house a single time since Christmas Eve except for Dr :dry: Starting to really wear on me and get spirits very low. Still huge issue dealing with with daughter as well which is now another 6 weeks away to completion. Just keeps on piling up.

Hope car is quick fix and simply reset as opposed to something serious Acy and glad things worked out with PS3 Jim. Hope things are going well for others as well.

Got back to sleep couple of times.. John went back to sleep for Katie this morning.. She got some more sleep also..she was saying not sure what to thing about this??? Replied to her sometimes things just do go good and enjoy this!!!

My morning has just been very good.. Have enjoyed the heck out of this.. The K clan is doing good ATM..

Went Dr this morning - another 5 days antibiotics of a different flavor and surgery on Monday to open up elbow and shoulder to clean infection out of joints and connective tissues and try that ( I seem to have contracted MRSA on a short hospital stay in December and it has proven exceptionally difficult to get a handle on) - thought it was taken care of in 5 day stay in hospital at beginning of month but returned within a week after discharge. Hopefully this will remedy it and make a little easier to manage until completely fixed. Since I likely got it in hospital seems they would give me a break on co-pays and deductible but I guess that would be wishful thinking.
