Yesterday I was sad and stressed out without noticing it. That is, until I caught myself spinning up resentments over the past and rehearsing future confrontations that will never happen. The success is that I caught it before it got to the snowballing stage, and I was able to use my coping tools to dial it back. I feel relatively calmer today. The stress is still there, and will be until I get a job, but at least I'm not clouding my view as much.

Been on this forum for 18 years. What a wild ride.
In those 18 years I got my kid, who will turn 14 this year and honestly changed my life for the better.

I got several degrees, finished another one last december. I currently work as a general practice mental health professional in a GP's office.
Huge chunk of my patients are suicidal young adults. Being able to sit at the other end of the desk and offering them help, while having been in there shoes, is something I am proud of every day.

Met a guy on tiktok, yes tiktok, and we are planning to get married this year.

And while some days are still a struggle mentally, I can safely say that I am finally doing good.

I'm really proud of myself for being so strong today. I hope I can do it at least until the time I'll have to go back to the dentist to check on my surgery stitches. On another note, I can't wait to go to the gym next week. I hope next week can be a productive one.
