For the first time since starting these threads my goal is a fitness one. Wanting to start walking 20 minutes per day eventually building that to 30 minutes when I feel ready for it.

As well, I'd like to lose 3kg (6lb) by January first, at first I thought about it and said no, that I love Christmas and the fancy food that comes with it but at the end of the day its not worth my health. So healthier eating starts tomorrow. I eat relatively healthy anyway just need to up it a bit. I will still eat sweets for Christmas and have ALL the nice foods just use portion control.

Didn't do so well in November. I gained 4 pounds between the wedding in October and weigh-in in November. Then I started Lipitor for high cholesterol because the fish oil did naught. Now I am hoping to get back on the path of good health and weight loss. I can do it. I have done it over Christmas before.

Well I am inspired always and wishing all the best on this...so thank your for the tag @Petal.....given stress of moving thinking I will push my healthy habit goals to Jan 1...when we are (hopefully in a new house) and then can get back an exercise routine where we live and wont be eating down whatever is in our fridge/freezer...Also packing has been a rather rude wake up call needless to say...as giving a lot of clothes that I've "outgrown" to a thrift agency near us ....

Thanks for the reminder. I had surgery last month and fell off the wagon. It amazes me how much cardio endurance I've lost. I've been doing some walking and the stationery bike. I'm adding weights too. I also need to get my sugar intake under control. Last night I had a whole row of cookies for dinner. *thumbsdown

Thank you for the tag @Petal. The last two years I lost way too much weight related to illness and complete loss of appetite.. In the past 4 months I've been able to put back 12 pounds and now it needs to stop. But I created a pattern of eating carbs (mostly healthy ones but still carbs) to try and gain it back. Now It it's a habit and has to stop, I'm ok with the current weight. But now I have to break the crackers, nuts, lentils, beans, rice, coconut milk, breads intake and go back to mostly veggies and some fruits.

Surgery and the recovery time period surely can mess with endurance that a person had before. Sounds like you are being really active...*thumbsup

Thanks for tag. Hello, my goal is to not gain too much this month like I did in December 2018. The way I plan to do this is the same as how @Petal has described in post #2 of this thread. I will aim to control my portion sizes and improve the foods I am eating but will still enjoy some treats. Last week or so has not been so good, the months before were, so I just want to switch back to what I was doing before and stay to it. Some days will come where I may eat lots, Christmas and New Years comes to mind but there have been special occasions in the past few months and I did not overindulge, or at least I made up for it in the days before and after so I hope I can do the same for these occasions.

I first heard this song when watching the movie the Man from U.N.C.L.E. I didn't understand the words but damn if it wasn't one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Glad you liked it as well :)
