Those pics are gorgeous!

Oz must have mild winters. You could hardly tell it's winter from the pics.

The water in the first pic and the shady beach path in the third look especially inviting to me.

Lovely pictures wish I could visit but the sun would incinerate me in minutes (I burn on an overcast day in UK in April!). Glad you can experience such surroundings

Acutally AvidFan I also burn super easily. In winter I am okay because I have long sleeves and a hat. In summer I have to stay in the shade with long sleeves and a hat and sunscreen. I can't hardly believe that all sorts of people go for runs out in the sun on summer days. i'd collapse.

I hope you are always able to dispel those feelings. Your life is your own. It is always up to you to decide where, when and how to get involved. One of my favorite quotes:

“I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.”.

Live your life, live it on your terms and what you believe. Your own causes and opinions are just as important as what others believe.

I was scrolling through the threads and saw this one of yours…
What a journey you have been and still are on…
So much of what you have written resonates with me…
When you wrote about feeding the birds it made me smile, since I have been in this apartment I started feeding the robins, tits, sparrows, song thrushes, blackbirds and maybe a few others… Each have their own special preferences and it has been So wonderful to get to know them…I will miss them dearly when I have to leave here… I have already stopped feeding them to get them used to not having me around…
It seems to me that life is painful for those of us who feel deeply…
Sending peaceful, gentle thoughts your way across the oceans…

I am another person who loves to watch birds. I get a nice variety of species that show up here everything from tiny hummers to hawks. The hawks like to perch on the pole with the guard light on it. A few months ago I posted up some pictures about a neighbor that found a trio of baby owls that were orphaned and he hand raised them until it was time to fly the coop. From fuzzballs to grown raptors and up and off away.

That would be a sight to see. Cool story. My friend in Wyoming said there are 2 large ravens stopping by each day at her rural property. They somehow know when she collects chicken & duck eggs. They get to snack on the mystery eggs when she isn't sure of the freshness.
