Well I've been doing pretty good getting 3-4 one hour hikes each week. The other day I did a 2 hour hike up to maybe 8000 feet with a friend, early in morning. I was noticeably less winded and slow than when we did that hike in January.
However my blood pressure and heart rate are still too high and I just learned I have high cholesterol, high blood sugar, and weigh 218, which I think means around January I was at an all time high weight.
So I'm also almost 2 weeks into transitioning to a whole foods, plant based diet. Basically vegan with no processed foods or refined foods, with some cheating as I adapt. I've actually seen my blood pressure start coming down and hope that in 6-12 months I'll be able to lose 20 pounds or more. I've also noticed less inflammation symptoms, however I still have days with no energy at all.
