How Are You Feeling Right Now?

I'm teary as I write this. I'm feeling worse again today. Another flashback & suicidal thoughts & feelings a little desperate. I'm so tired of living this way. I really am. It's so hard. Going to work later & have to smile, pretending I'm great. Covering up takes so much energy, too. Don't know what else to say, really.
Sorry,friend. I feel the same way. I hope it will pass for us. Hugs and sending heart.

@bubblebear
I read your diary entry from today. Good luck with your work review, don't let the superiority they seem to have make you feel below them, your not. You sound like you work really hard just like they probably do.

Aw thanks inny. Review went really well and they were positive and thanked me for my work so far. I wonder were they exaggerating some things I did ''well'', and actually they gave me credit for some things I didn't totally do. But I got a good score, so I suppose that's good. It will take time to process.

Thats really good.

Managers tend to use a good, can do better approach which is normal business. They will say, your doing really well in x but you could do with improving y and so on. So if they praised you, it will be real, so take that on board - sounds like your a very hard worker (x) but could do with not being so hard on yourself (y).

Im not doing very well. I keep doing over the same thoughts over and over, just have this horrible feeling all the time. I miss my friend.
I wish I knew what would help. I’m in a similar place with my resentments over being taken advantage of, which is probably less intense , but also I have not been able to let go for more than a couple hours at a time. It really f**kin hurts!

I'm having those stupid hamster wheel thoughts again. I saw my therapist yesterday and we came up with some actions. Basically get out to more meetings (sobriety), and call friends/family. Working on that. I reached out to a 2nd cousin (I think that's the term, she is my cousin's daughter) about my safety plan and she agreed that she could be on there as someone to call if I lose my sh*t. I was so worried about being a burden. I said so and I also said I would prefer she say no if that would be an imposition or if she has any reservations. Turned out that she was happy to help and that I am not a burden. That was nice.

But still - every time I have half a second to think, what pops into my head immediately is the intrusive thoughts like, "I should kill myself," or "Suicide would be so much better than this." I'm not really in pain, except for the distress that is caused by those thoughts alone! I know that the way to deal with these (In psychological theory as well as Buddhist teachings) is to not engage with them - leave them alone because getting upset about it and trying to push them away gives them more energy.

The problem rn is that they interfere with my ability to make decisions. I look at my to-do list and try to prioritize, and my brain goes, "ohhhhh what's the use! It's only going to turn out bad anyway!" So, I think I'm going to take a rest. I've never gotten up from a nap and not felt better. :)

I agree with you in the general case. However, in addition to that, some businesses are run by people doing things by the seat of their collective pants. Since they may be able to make profits without a clue, They end up with no process or method to guide managers in working with their teams. We actually discussed this in my graduate coursework. There is a course called "organizational psychology," where you learn about basically office politics. The teacher was a hot-shot consultant who still did work as a consultant between terms. He discussed those experiences during lectures and my favorite line was when he said, "You would not believe how many executives succeed despite themselves!" lol Sorry bout the tangent.

I don't feel good today. My son refuses to listen to good advice, starting with being honest that he's homeless. He kept coming around banging on my window. Today he's angry with a wrench in his hand, threatening to bash my car windows. I've had enough. I told him I searched my car and some phone that was wrecked already isn't in my car. Then he calls from the library, again, I tell him the same thing. He shows up here, I've had to say before get off the property now. He's not supposed to. So this time, with his angry look and threat I did go ahead and call police. I've put up enough with his mistreatment of me, and his demands. I've helped for years. More than a lot of mothers, not that I'm saying I'm some great mom, but most would have stopped helping long ago. Now I don't know if they took him to a jail. He hates me regardless of what I do. I've had him with me, he just uses me and dumps his stuff and mess everywhere. I'm still dealing with all the ants that got in here. I don't want him hurting, but I gave him all the reasons to get help in hospital, or call the shelters and get there. He's stubborn. I'm afraid he'll hate me more after this, but I've done enough. He wrecked this entire car hood on me a couple years ago and I lied after trying to charge him, the police woman said after all of my statement, now picture this... blah blah, they are going to arrest him, put handcuffs on blah blahn, then i said ok then forget it. I shouldn't have let her talk me out of it. He's just gotten worse. He steals. Even when I provided enough. Sorry I ranted. I do hope he's ok. He needs to learn. I helped too often. It's hard to not blame myself. But I have health issues and he doesn't care about that either.
