How Are You Feeling Right Now?

Baffled and exhausted.

I had my call with doctor - it went fine, told not to worry about x ray, just normal wear and tear, and all my bloods are normal. In fact my cholesterol is actually down on 2015 and 2019! So I am doing something right somewhere!

More than I can say for my now useless phone. I was looking at my phone, when a text message said I had a voicemail. Funny, my phone hadn't rung! And there was no missed call. It was from the doctor. So I had to phone back in a panicked state.....

To cut a long story short my calls now all go to voicemail and my mobile phone does not ring. No call incoming, no missed call. Outgoing calls work.

I somehow how found a service online and got one free call to call my phone - it actually dialled, from New York... But that is the only call it has received all day. Been asking people to ring me, and everyone says it just goes to voicemail.

Yes I have changed every setting. Not even AI can solve it, already done everything it suggests. So have bought a cheap sim for my spare phone just in case. As I might need it when things like ambulances or doctors have to phone me back in future, FFS.

The call was fine like I say, but this phone mystery is what's messed me up. So bizarre - especially to get one random international call from a free service to dial it, while everything else goes straight to voicemail.

I am tired now
That’s bizarre. Sort of the inverse of my problem; I haven’t had voicemail in 20 years, it just disappeared and even the phone company couldn’t figure it out. Luckily I still see a missed call and they can text if there is something I need to know, yours is a lot more of a problem.

Fidgety, anxious, can hardly sit still. I’ve got this feeling like something bad is about to happen, but I don’t know what.
Even letters look like they’re not in a row, like they’re very nonchalant about standing in line. It’s kinda like a panic attack but not really. In a panic attack, my breathing gets very heavy and movement is very difficult and I sweat like crazy, but none of that is happening. But my skin is crawling, I’m shivering even though it’s over 80, and maintaining a train of thought is difficult.

Worked an eight hour shift at the polls today. Not used to being anywhere at 5:30 anymore nor being told when I could have lunch. In fact I have never had a scheduled lunch. Anyway got through the process which is good if I do it in November I won’t dread it at all like I did this time. I was going to do it for free but it pays $15/hour. Now for physical therapy exercises. :)

now I don't know what's going on with me. I still feel so sedated that I can hardly move, or concentrate. I slept 11 hrs, from midnight to 11 AM. There's not much of the day left at 11, and yet it's early afternoon here. I'm ready for a nap and it's so strong that I could probably just eat something and go to bed now and then sleep all the way until tomorrow morning. I have a volunteer shift at 11:30 tomorrow, meaning I will have be up by 8:00 given how long it takes me to get ready in the morning.

It feels paralyzing to have so much on my to-do list and barely enough energy to walk to the bathroom. Oh well - can't fix that right now, so again, one foot in front of the other. When I slip backward or fall down, then I have to pick myself back up and return to the work without allowing thoughts of the future to deter me. That's the intent, at least.

Oh, I so relate to this. I am anxious and fidgety but that's because I know something is wrong and docs can't figure it out. Either way it sucks.
Gonz, you also posted that letters did not look like they are in a row, not standing in a line. When was your last eye exam? If you hold a piece of graph paper up can you see all the lines of the squares? Broken lines can be a sign of macular degeneration. Don't want to scare you as I certainly am not a doctor, but it might be worth checking out.
Take care.

I have double vision since the stroke, one eye doesn't point in quite the right direction anymore, I wear glasses with a prism in one lens, to correct it but it's an imperfect solution. I think that's playing a part. I see a neuro-opthamologist regularly, so he'll catch it early if anything new
goes wrong.

I've known a few people with macular degenerarion, it's a bitch.

I think it might be fixed. It was definitely a problem earlier today, but then it came to my attention that the main person I was asking to ring me, was calling a landline number I haven't had for at least 3 years....instead of my cell/mobile number. So every time they messaged and said they just called and my phone was dead, they were ringing a ghost... Good job it hadn't been assigned to some other poor person.... 😂

well, I drag myself into the kitchen to make burgers, as the meat needed to be cooked today and I set the pan on the burner, turn it on and do something else while it heats, I smell smoke and turn around and yes, indeed, there is something in the drip pan on fire lol

Turned on the vent fan to high and turned off the burner. Put the burger meat into the freezer for later.

Now I have to figure out something else for dinner lol

some days I just can't win

I hope you are sleeping anyway......follow your body's need. I am wondering why you are so dang worn out but maybe tomorrow you will be rested and at least somewhat restored. Have a good morning and shift tomorrow. Thank you for the volunteer work that you do. It's amazing how much work gets done out in the world here by volunteers giving their time. I'm honored to be giving some my time to what I do with planting and restoration of parks and water ways and things of similar nature in a very viable group I'm fortunate enough to be connected with.
I hope you feel better soon!

If you still have the vertigo and don't feel up to a lot of work and mouth and teeth bothering you something soft but filling may work well. When I had wisdom teeth out and later with root canals I would do things like scrambled eggs, easy and quick and soft for the mouth. Mashed potatoes and gravy also. Not a lot of work with instant and they are passable with enough salt and pepper. Potatoes are quite filing and more so with gravy and not really much chewing.
