How Are You Feeling Right Now?

@AvidFan I hope you can find a new hose for your washing machine.

It's terrible to feel so overwhelmed, I am sorry to hear the pain is still happening, and I send my kind of prayer. I don't know if it'll eer be scientifically proven but hopefully it helps.

You're not alone when here.

(h) if they help
Thanks @seabird , waking up to the mention and post helps a lot! Overwhelmed is the right word! Thank you for understanding. It's not even as if the washing machine problem was that big (I hope), and might have just been the seal coming loose (I tightened it back up but left the valve shut off overnight). It's just my nervous system is in such a bad state from other stresses, constant pain, worry etc, that when I find mysterious water with no immediate source I go into freefall and endure a panic attack as my mind torments me with visions of underground burst pipes bursting up into the kitchen and workmen digging the floor up and surveyors condemning the house and ending up owing huge amounts of money on a worthless hole in the ground and it always leads to worry that I'll be so overwhelmed I'll just grab the method and go to sleep. Thus every new stress becomes an existential threat which keeps my nervous system revved up to 100.

Of course I struggled to sleep and woke up at 5am. I had to get up and take some things to try to calm down, and did maybe doze for another hour with some weird dreams.

I felt calmer over the course of the morning. That's how it seems to go - then as the afternoon crawls on, anxiety seems to start building until its a crescendo by late afternoon. I might get some respite later evening but then the fight with sleep happens. I need to work tomorrow, currently not sure how I'm going to pull it off.

Hi Avid is there anything you like to do to keep mind off of the things that are going through your mind. It might help if you find something you like to do or hang out with someone you truly trust. I know you will get through that hard part of the day you struggle with. I appreciate your kind also. Your good hearted. Know your cared bout. Anxiety is hard to deal with. I know you will get through it. Keep your head up. *hug

Had a small victory in running the washer and getting some clean clothes without flooding kitchen. Leak was smallish, rather than a flood. Turned outlet off now. Will need to pay someone to pull it out for me as trying that myself would rip my groin muscles apart. Argos will only install new one if you disconnect old one yourself 🫠

I honestly feel like I am being tortured. I honestly don't know how much more I can take. Not only has my health gone, I'm seriously isolated, have just lost a major source of income and have a stack of problems with the house, than I find another fucking problem. I found some water next to washing machine the other week, thought it had spurted out of the detergent drawer. But when I checked it was still appearing. And the ground was crumbling and the tiles were seeping water. I had 20 minutes of a panic attack thinking water was coming up through the ground until I eventually found it was the hose leaking behind the washing machine. I've managed to turn off the water intake pipe now - I think. And have a dehumidifier going (and carrying it has likely fucked my groin muscles again). Last week it was the laptop that just died - took it to the shop optimistically, the guy hasn't bothered calling me. So now I have no clean clothes and have to find a way to pay for a new washing machine. As well as pay someone to install it properly for me. Already have to pay someone to do the garden because of my health. I am bleeding money from so many wounds while the blood supply itself has dried up. I don't know what to do sometimes. I thought it was it. I certainly thought seriously about my method in that moment, fortunately it wasn't a volcano of water coming up through the floor. But seriously, I am trying desperately to avoid stress because it makes my pelvic floor scream even more, and shit like this just keeps happening. One thing after another after another. All this because I thought maybe I'll put a wash on before I go out on my walk and look for my little cat friends.... That idea was ruined in a hurry.
*sadhug*console*console*console*consoleYou are in my thoughts with some of this getting straightened out and as inexpensively as possible. Maybe a second hand or outdated model washing machine still on the floor from retail and that they will come out and hook it up as well...some of those guys work off the clock and will do it on the cheap. I bought my plain old white one 23 years ago from a very large markdown and it still works fine....just a thought. I'm glad you figured out the problem quickly.
Did you sleep better this past night?
Oh,
I just now read that you had success with the current washing machine. That's good to hear.

Aw thanks. Sort of success - for now, but it does need replacing. 23 years, that's amazing! I thought mine was doing well at about 12 years! The door is broken so I use a shoelace hack to open it lol - I think it might be time to retire it and get a new machine and hose, but one thing at a time! They will do credit offers so I could get one and just pay £10 a month or something. Need to figure out the health side of things first.

Sleep was not good last night as the anxiety was floating around, but I will try for a better one tonight!

That's all you can do is try and try to not think of the stresses you are under so you can relax some into sleep, even just for one night!
