I swear I used to be smarter.

Anyways, that will get you through pain, sure. But are your sights not set on finding peace no matter the situation?
No, my sights are set on finding endurance in any situation I have to endure, and then finding peace in my own time. Having coping mechanisms and self-encouragement in reserve for when you need it is not a bad thing.

Can't argue with that, it makes sense. I am personally prepared to lose everything if it means peace of mind, well maybe not an exit strategy.

Have a theme song, this character, Kuze, embodies many of your ideals, I would imagine.

Maybe it's just the matter of age rather than anything else. I don't think you are "stupid". Just the fact that you are worried about being stupid makes you the opposite of it, basically "aware".
People may consider me young, however there is a huge difference in my learning ability rn compared to how it used to be as a kid. An example to prove it would be how I easily managed to reach fluency (or at least kinda close to it lol) in English as a kid, but now, I have been trying as hard with French and it's indeed pointless. So what I think, a kid or teenager's learning ability is way different than an adult's.
There is an old saying "age is just a number", and aside from some bloody obvious exceptions, it is correct, people mature based on their circumstances, my sister was more mature at 13 than my mum at 50 because my sister had a harder time and had to grow up fast to deal with it, so never underestimate the young, especially since you raise a good point, I have been comparing myself to the learning ability of a child, so perhaps I can stand to give myself a bit of a break, but I know I am still not quite as smart as I should be, adjusted for age.

I will admit that having a negative self-identity is a terrible thing that NEEDS to be discarded, for example, things I have struggled to avoid becoming part of my identity are:
1) I am the family under-achiever
2) I am weak
3) I am a disappointment
I struggle not to allow these things to define me because, true or not, they are not who I want to be and they are not helpful. I define myself as something at least as good as I am so I have to keep working and motivated to avoid becoming something less.

Im not sure if youre being sincere or mocking me, but I love the music, thanks :D I'll add it to my "badass" playlist.

p.s. try "The Impossible Dream" by Frank Sinatra, or "The Longshot" by Megson, hell, even "Live to Win" by Paul Stanley will do.
