Too warm in the house because they set the thermostat to 28 which is not sleep-albe for me, I kept waking up feeling miserable; this happened at least ten times. Gave up at 4 a.m. and made tea.

No pain in my leg and hip all day long yesterday until I tried to go to sleep. Raging pain started and ibuprofen didn’t help. I was exhausted but the universe had other plans.
I am sorry you didn't sleep well. Do they not have naproxen out there (Aleve or Nasopryn I think it is in US among other things), it's a stronger, longer acting NSAID. I'd give you mine if you were local, it is useless for my hip pain, but I know mine is nerve and muscle related and it's not the correct medication for this. Have stopped taking it, makes no difference at all. In fact might have felt better since I stopped.... I hope your pain goes down and you get some sleep soon.

I was projecting on to your condition and wondering if you had something similar to me that's been misdiagnosed - but the telltale is that lying down is the only comfortable position for me, takes the pressure completely off the hip stabiliser muscles and lets them relax!

Hope you get better soon.

Another piss poor night. Total exhaustion at 11pm and went to bed, to suffer another broken, anxious sleep with 5am wake up, rage and anxiety lying in bed and persistent ideation along the lines of "I have the means to make this body sleep, and if I do that sleep will be the last thing it ever does."

Same! I went to bed at about 11:30pm and woke up at about 4 -5am. But I didnt sleep through the whole time. Woke up many times. Maybe 4 hours of sleep at most. Anxiety is my main issue I think now

Sorry you are not sleeping as well. Mine is getting worse, to the point of wanting to punch a wall and then of course my body is ramped up and I literally cannot relax. Stupid physio told me to stop belly breathing and breathe into my chest and this caused a panic attack. So I was in bed just before 12pm, still awake at 4am and have just got up at a little past 6am as there was absolutely no point trying to lie there any more.

Gah! 4am wake up, no chance of going back to sleep. So got up at 5am after hoping I could get off again. Certainly not the first time this has happened. Cut back to 10mg amitriptyline after the 20mg disaster. Body at least displayed some rest after a day of 100/100 stress on watch for periods.

It was a rough night yesterday due to 12 hours of effing fireworks all over the neighborhood. I slept well last night despite the coffees I drank yesterday. I woke up at half past five more or less okay.

We also had a night-time “fireworks” that lasted several hours. *hiding
A firework landed in someone's apartment—it burned down.
It's a good thing I'm hard of hearing; otherwise, I'd be more scared than anyone else *woohoo

You words are read and point taken Gard. I am sorry this horror is still going on.

Sorry, too, about your hearing loss.
