1) What is your best alcohol-related story?
A story for a story.
Alright, I really couldn't think of one "story". I have MANY events, concerts, uni parties, weddings, friend gatherings... that involved alcohol and were memorable and lovely, but not sure if they're worth telling. ^^

But since I'm on SF, I figured my British friends would enjoy my airport story in Manchester last year - at least the fun part of it. So after hours of delay, my flight back home got cancelled. As me and the other passengers were waiting for the organization of hotel rooms and flights back, I met two Brits who were also flying alone. We met for dinner (free buffet!), and as one of them happened to have their birthday on the next day, we decided to celebrate. They introduced me to Jägerbombs (yeah, not popular here, I had never heard of them before :p). As the hotel bar was closing fairly early, we had a few minutes to run in the airport little store to get what we wanted, and that's how I spent the whole night drinking in a hotel room with two lovely people (that sounds really wrong when I say it like that :p But that's all there is to it, huh). For some reason it was also easy to tell them some things like about suicide and mental health, and they happened to have some stories of their own. It kinda made me think about how in real life people never really talk about these things, never listen or show compassion, and make too many assumptions about others, "normal people".

:)

No experience with Jagerbombs, in my youth it was Everclear and making Sangria wine punch, quite a kick since Everclear is 190 proof grain alcohol. Last year when the pandemic hit folks were buying it up to make hand sanitizer.

THanks for opening the cafe @Dante

Mothers Day Table
It is Mothers Day in the UK, so sorry to everyone else, but here is a mothers table :)
1) Do you like your mother?
I loved my mother. She passed away about 3 years and I miss her.

2) Tell us about your mother.
My mother accepted everything that came her way with a smile.

3) What is one really good thing you can say about your mother?
We never had physical touch in our household, never had a hug, and yet I still knew my mother loved me. She loved me regardless of what I did.

4) Did you wish her mothers day, or do you usually when it comes around?
I always talked to her on Mother's day, either in person or on the phone.

Alcohol Table
Because I'm drunk. What? I think its impressive enough that I managed to post a cafe like this, even with spell check.
1) What is your best alcohol-related story?
I do my hard drinking alone, in my room. I don't go out to bars. In a bar the music is so loud you can't talk, makes no sense to me. I don't like being drunk, losing control of my faculties, I don't like that, I hate it. I have a huge tolerance for alcohol, I can drink 4 or 5 doubles and still have control of my faculties. I normally spend the evening with a tumbler of whisky in my hand and a couple beers and then go to bed, so boring.

2) What is your favourite drink?
My favorite drink is whisky. Bourbon and Scotch are types of whisky. I love to try things I have never had before.

3) What is the most expensive/rarest drink you have ever tasted, was it any good?
Glenlivet 12 is probably the finest drink I have ever had, it is not the most expensive, around $45 for a fifth. It is a Scotch. I have bought 5ths for $65 but they are not worth it, about the most I spend now on a fifth of whiskey is $40-$45 when I try something new. Jesse James bourbon is some of the best I have ever had and it is less than $20 for a fifth.

4) Have you been to an alcohol related event? Tell us about it.

5) Name one mistake you made whilst drunk.
Being bipolar and occasionally going into mania with alcohol is not a good combo. I have overdrafted my bank account by $800.

Maths Table
Yes, it is Pi Day, when the date is 3/14 like Pi ^^ So we need a maths table.
1) Do you have any maths jokes? Lets hear them.
I googled "math jokes" and they are all so lame I am not going to post any of them.

2) How do you fare about maths, are you a mathematician or does it fill you with dread?
I love math, especially geometry, and specifically trigonometry. I am very good at addition, subtraction, and multiplication in my head. Being a cabinetmaker I use so much math every day. I love the golden rectangle and use it a lot in my designs.

3) What is your favourite thing about maths (theory, strange quirk, the logic driven nature of it, anything).
I love the precision of math. 1 + 3 only has one correct answer, that is it. There are no hypothetical questions or answers for that equation.

4) Have any maths related pictures? Post away.
Nope.

5) Teaching time. Teach us any maths tricks you learned that makes it easier
I don't have any math tricks. I think it is funny that our teachers told us we had to memorize the multiplication table, "you are not always going to have a calculator with you". Now we carry smart phones and with the help of the internet we can solve math problems way beyond what our teachers ever comprehended.

Hahaha... erm... you would be surprised...I have seen maths where 1/0 has a definite answer, where proving 1+3=4 takes a long time, where 1 is only one from a certain point of view... maths gets freaky at University...

Happy belated Mother's Day to all in the UK!

I think my last drink was in my early 20's.
I haven't thought of this in forty years. I won't say it's the best alcohol story but it's the most embarrassing in my life..... As a teenager I broke into a case and took a couple of bottles of Chateau Lafite Rothschild my father had bought in Paris and had stashed away.....he didn't speak to me for weeks after he found out..I thought he was going to disown me, Lol.
