I miss my mum so much. She was a lovely, caring, kind women. I remember her laugh, I remember her hugs. I remember her love. I never let her go. I never had closure. I had no idea she was going to die and when she did die I was stunned. It didn't seem real. It still doesn't seem real. I never said goodbye. It's been decades but it still hurts so much. Bye, mum. I hope I will see you again sometime.

Sending hugs to you. My mom killed herself 20 years ago today and I feel the same way. All the "what ifs" and "lasts" and "lack of closure". Never really feels quite the same again, does it? I wish I had something thoughtful or insightful to say...but I don't... sorry. Thinking of you though.

I'm sad you went through that, Matt. That would have been pure hell. You are a good man. I am thinking of you too. Stay strong. Today must be a crap day.

i miss a friend this time of year. she took her life in April and there is not even an obituary for for reasons i cant disclose. :(
it feels i never got closure. i used to dream she was still alive and it was a cruel trick by those who would want to harm her.
but i accepted it now. i guess.
i still feel bad for a fight we had even though i did apologize and she responded.

I have a lot of stories of my brother. But I don't have the energy to type them out. He died 9 years ago, and to even write this feels wrong. Heavy and despairingly wrong. Grief and loss, the absence of the people you knew and loved is mind boggling.
Right now I'm crying inside because I missed his hugs. He was not a big person but he was taller than me, and he had this way of wrapping his arms around me and squeezing me just the right amount of tight.
One of my favorite things about his personality and nature was when he would leave for a trip and come back. He'd barely call while he was away Bec so busy, but the moment he got back, the moment I pick him up from the airport, he would light up the moment he saw me and drop his bags and run to me, pick me up and swirl me with the biggest hug.
I'd give ANYTHING for that hug. Please don't take your life if you have loved ones. Please. (I know it's selfish to ask)

Oh, and one time he was running away from a crazy dude in a wheelchair and dove into the driver's seat headfirst fast through the passenger side window over my body. It was hilarious and he got stuck. He was funny as hell so I will leave you with that.

Ive only just seen this post, I am so sorry for your loss, it is heart breaking. This date is my daughter’s birthday. She turned 1 on that day. Strange how things just carry on amongst all the pain and suffering. I’m so sorry. Sending hugs. *hug Xx

The one person I remember that I lost is my grandmother, my dads mum. Over 35 years ago now and yet she still has a special place in my heart. Growing up I always felt she understood me when so many other people in my family didn’t. She always told me that I was as good as my siblings and not to put myself down. 35 years on I still cry when I think of her. She had all her little ways which I still remember so clearly. She died when it was her time and at the end she wanted to go. I remember her struggling to hold a cup of tea and telling me she was ready. Now I’m watching my dad as he nears the end. He’s telling me all his stories from the past like he’s trying to make sure I know and remember them when he’s gone. It’s lovey to listen to and he’s starting to record them as he tells me so that i can listen back and hear his voice. I have such mixed emotions listening to him and my heart is breaking.

😢💔💓💓 So much beauty and heartbreak in your words and experiences. I'm sorry about your dad, I love that he's recording his stories, that is amazing.
