Of course I do. I’m a big manly looking man too (grr), beard and tattoos and everything, and they’re Yorkies. It’s embarrassing.
Shame on you. Don't you know it's practically an unwritten rule that big manly looking men must have either a pitbull or a rottweiler? It also has to be a "he" and you have to name him something like "killer" or "destroyer".

But in all seriousness, pitbulls are adorable. I personally wouldn't be able to resist.

Lol, there is high degree of correlation between looking… like me honestly, and pit bull ownership.

I agree though. They’re very active so they wouldn’t be happy living with me, but they’re adorable and have such wonderful personalities.

Rottweilers as well. My aunt (who was like a second mother, and with whom I’d spend every weekend when I was small) used to breed them and they were my playmates and babysitters whenever I was at her house.

One of my aunts, back in Ukraine, years ago (when I was still under 6 years old) used to have a German Shepherd. Well, according to every adult whom you'd ask, supposedly that dog was mean and capable of biting even his owner. One day, my 4 or 5 year old self decided it's be fun to crawl into his dog house (they kept him outside because like I said, they were afraid of him biting people). When my aunt saw me in his dog house from the window she screamed bloody murder "Ahhh!!! Get that child out of there! She's going to get hurt!!" Meanwhile, I'm sitting there with the dog like "aww, cute doggy". Lol. He didn't touch me. He could sense I was just a child and he didn't harm a single hair on my head. I still believe to this day that he was never as mean as people thought he was. He had good instincts.

The first thought is of a reactive dog who’s been abused or otherwise hurt and has limited understanding of the world, so their attempts to prevent it from happening again make them dangerous (that was more long-winded than I planned on.)

But assuming that’s not the case, which is true 99% of the time, dogs like/are very tolerant of children and allow them liberties that they would not give to adults.

Asking myself more and more as of late... is this all worth it? Or am i searching for a fairy tail life that can't ever be found?
Kinda on the same page lately , if you're okay sending you a hug ( I understand our context can be different , I hope this will not be coming out as me making this about myself , that's not my intention. If you felt like this , you can let me know )

Take care
