Let's not forget their most famous chorus.
Du = you
Du hast = you have
Du hast mich = you hate me
Du hast mich gefragt = You have asked me
A fun little lesson in the intricacies of the german language :L

Musing about today's Jim's Cafe and how nice it would be to have 10 million USD.

Money equates to freedom, really. It would unfetter me from the necessity of earning a living and allow me to focus on the simpler things and the deeper things.

It would be ideal to be able to take care of my mom and be her comfort and companion in these final years. I would be nice to be able to give significant amounts to the charities I support in order to make a real difference.

It would be nice to not have to worry about impoverishment.

Many things in this world are probably not within a human's ability to understand. We can only try our best to understand things but no one can really tell us the truth. The "truth" in a general sense is basically the best explanation one can figure out. Weirdly, a large part of how someone view the world is taught by other people- or in other words, influenced by their environment. And they also end up being a part of someone else's environment. That's basically how the human population works: connection. When someone's connection to the rest of the population becomes thinner, that's when pain comes into play. Logically, going against what your species have always been doing will be painful, but things evolve so I suppose staying the same can create a greater pain than changing. Pain works as a warning signal physically so I suppose there's also a purpose for mental pain...but I don't know what it is and I don't intend to think about it tonight, because this moth just flew into my room and I dislike bugs.

I watched a couple of videos about hominids last night. While I don't believe that every skull fragment and femur equate to another missing link fossil ancestor and I question whether these hominids are separate species entirely with no evolution in place at all, the videos did start me to think about our inner nature and our evolution.

Maybe it's all b.s., but it just seems kinda sad that so many beings struggled to live over thousands of years to culminate in you and me and modern man to be what we are.

How much have we really evolved?

What can we do to not waste all the lives that came before us? Or is our nature pretty much set by biology and we're just a basic and ignorant, just with better knowledge and tools?

Idk. I'm not asking the questions in the right way, or not asking the right questions. Stupid sentimentality over beings dead for thousands of years.

If evolution, I guess I'm just disappointed in us as the dominant species who won the existence contest merely to become a people who ultimately failed to create a more ecologically and fair world. Or some such bullshit.
