Many things in this world are probably not within a human's ability to understand. We can only try our best to understand things but no one can really tell us the truth. The "truth" in a general sense is basically the best explanation one can figure out. Weirdly, a large part of how someone view the world is taught by other people- or in other words, influenced by their environment. And they also end up being a part of someone else's environment. That's basically how the human population works: connection. When someone's connection to the rest of the population becomes thinner, that's when pain comes into play. Logically, going against what your species have always been doing will be painful, but things evolve so I suppose staying the same can create a greater pain than changing. Pain works as a warning signal physically so I suppose there's also a purpose for mental pain...but I don't know what it is and I don't intend to think about it tonight, because this moth just flew into my room and I dislike bugs.
