Trite phrases that “need to die” in [current year]:

“It’s okay to not be okay.” Not okay is not okay.

“Hurt people hurt people.” Makes me want to hurt people.

“It gets better.” I think that one really died; oops.

“You must be fun at parties.” Alive, well, and ironically boring and uninviting.
Let's go look like we're lots of fun at a party, M.

We put our pets down when they are near death and suffering. After all, we love them and want their pain to end. But not for humans. We make them suffer to the bitter end. I am a Christian, but I still don't understand why God insists it be this way.

Hi, friend. I'm just wondering if would you like to talk? I don't want to take up the whole thread, but if it's okay with you, I could message you and tell you about my experience regarding what you are saying.

my favorite writing prompt ever was a single syllable challenge where I had to write a 350 word short story of only monosyllabic words. A lot of writing challenges just give a scenario when I enjoy restrictions more because it forces me to rethink things I normally wouldn't.

I’m watching a Halloween episode of Bob’s burgers where Bob is donating his blood.

It made me realize I never donated blood in my life.
Then I remembered the last time I was in ER for anaphylactic shock, the staff was having a hard time trying to find a viable vein and when they do the vein collapses and they have to find another one, switching off the lights just to use this flashlight on me to find a vein and I ended up having 10 needle attempts and bruises all over on both of my arms. They ended up using the vein from my leg to give me the medicine.

Which means I am not able to donate blood.
