@Aurelia I am going to play devils advocate about opioids so people will know that they are ok if necessary. opioids should always be a last resort for meds for a pain patient. the average person should try a lot of non opioids before prescribing them. it took me over a year trying different meds first. and once prescribed a doctor should watch a patient closely including drug tests. and if it's necessary and the patient is responsible it can be a life saver. I would have died long ago without them. but you are right that opioids should be avoided if anything else will work. opioid addiction can happen easily. I am physically dependant obviously due to long term use but not psycologically addicted. I don't know what to do with a patient that has an addictive personality that needs them.and again you are right that it can be a slippery slope but only if everyone involved isn;'t careful...mike

you need 40 quarters minimum to qualify for ssdi you can call the local social security office and they will tell you how many quarters you have if you ask. it may have to be mailed but they'll tell you. if you are disabled and you don't qualify for ssdi you can apply for ssi. that is a lot easier to get than ssdi but is income related....mike...*hug*console
Apparently I didn't qualify for SSI either, and honestly I feel like I'm in between a rock and a hard place.

Wanted to get Chipotle today but my bus was way late so I only had time to stop by a cafe on campus to grab a muffin and a chai latte. Which were pretty good but I’m disappointed.

Nauseous from antibiotic.

i want some fastfood takeout/delivery but i also dont want to spend anything. And i also dont like the smell of fastfood... it’s going to make me puke.

i absolutely hate people who would rather give you wrong answers than admit they don't know it.

these are the same people who wonder why i dont talk to them or initiate conversations, talking to them kills my neurons and i physically feel dumber afterwards.
they have no sense of direction, yet they have the audacity to give directions that doesnt make sense.
their misinformation is just out of this world and they actively choose to be misinformed

the same people who told me, you can get ncov by looking at a patient in the eye, and holding steel bars, i sit here typing wondering if these people have brains.

people who complain that they dont know what i like because they can't be bothered to ask me what i like, they cant be bothered to get to know me,

so they would rather force me to like what they like because it's what they know they like, and then be offended when i tell them i don't like any of their shit.

People who are hypertensive or have high bp and they prefer to eat salty food, douses their food in soy sauce

and then wonder why their bp is up high.

I’m pretty sure they’ve been told by their doctors before to go easy if not avoid salt but they chose to be oblivious because they have conscious selective attention/hearing ability.

True, I wasn't saying that everyone will always get addicted (psychologically) to them. I was just saying that it's especially dangerous if you already have addictive behaviors as it is. But yeah, some people are able to take them as prescribed and not abuse them. And if they're needed, then they should be given...and in my opinion, it shouldn't even take a whole year for the patient to find some relief. Bottom line, it depends on the person. But great care should be taken because addiction doesn't discriminate and it could happen to anyone.

sometimes i just cant deal with people's stupidity

like my older brother

he has been living here longer than us, he lives 2 houses away from us.
one time he asked me if our neighbors across the street have been living here for a year now, when he knows we moved here May of last year and our neighbors' house wasn't even halfway built at the time. We were here first, why in the world would he wonder and not know if they've been living here for a year now, he lives nearby, he should know.

the other time while i was cooking he would come to me all surprised telling me our neighbor is in their garage, i gave him a hard look and ignored him
in my mind: the fuck are you surprised? of course he'll be there, that's part of their house where he lives, what's surprising by that? be surprised when you find him on your bed.

he also asked me to help him how to operate the washing machine when i know he already used it a week ago without problems and that he has used it multiple times where we use to rent/live. In my mind: you already used it a lot of times, don't act like it's your first time. i told him, you know how to use it, then i went upstairs.

now, our other neighbor is having a party and since the house is too far for me to view from the window i decided to go downstairs and check it outside, as i was about to step out of the front door he asked me what house is the noise coming from, and again i gave him a hard look, in my mind: he's been downstairs all day and he didn't even bother to check it himself, i was so close to snapping and just shove him outside since he's more eager to figure out than i do, the same thing when he's beside the door/phone and it rings and instead of answering it, he would ask me who is it, wtf is that.
and when i got back, he then asked me if i can hear it from my bedroom, again i gave him a hard look... in my mind: the fuck do you think i came down and went outside to check it for? if you can here it at ground level then for sure as hell i can hear it from my bedroom, where the fuck do you think my bedroom is at that i wouldn't hear the noise, fucking pluto?

yes I agree with that. hopefully the pharmecutical industry will find a way to make good opioids. ones that would do the same thing for pain and not be addictive or get a person high or a non-opioid that does he same as an opioid. both are possible with research...mike...*hug

Well, you can't make an opiate or opioid that's not addictive. They all attach to the same receptors, which bring a pleasurable feeling. But a strong enough non-opioid that works just as well would be a good idea.

I really hate my parents a whole lot sometimes.
that is normal for people your age sometimes. you expect a lot from them at your age including independence and your parents don't want to admit that you're grown up. they are also afraid that at your age you'll make mistakes, of course you'll make mistakes we all do at that age. eventually they'll let go and ask themselves what happened to our little girl she's a woman now...mike...*hug
