So I always cook my own food from more or less raw ingredients (nothing fancy). I got the brilliant idea of buying myself ONE cooked meal this weekend, the first one in ages, so I could take a break. Thank myself very much, I've now been squirming out of pain for hours. I feel like I'm giving birth or something. Hopefully the can of coke I've just drunk helps... F*ck prepared meals, this abomination shouldn't even exist. *rant

Edit : I'm still dying, but wanted to correct "cooked meal". It wasn't a cooked one actually, just not a raw ingredient, but I still had to cook it. Something like raviolis/tortellinis. Fully cooked meals that you just need to put in the microwave never appealed to me much.

when you're physically unwell and the last thing you want is some random problem popping out of nowhere.
like something breaks for no reason.

seriously, not now Life, you can fuck me up some other day, just not today.

-I wanted to go out but I had to wait for the landlord or some guy that works for him to come over and now I have to wait for someone to come drop something off for my roommate.

-I hate those posts that go like “I was today years old when I found out...” Not only is the stuff they’re claiming not even true half the time, but “today years old” is also one of the dumbest phrases ever.

How are you feeling now? Did the coke help? *hug*hug

How stores and online shops will double the price of the product then slash it by half claiming it’s on 50%sale

you’re really paying for the original price, you didn’t save anything.

If you’re not taking notes and comparing price offers you can easily fall with this “trick”.

I hope you've had a complete recovery by this time. I've never tried those kinds of meals as curious as I've been, nice idea to make it easier/faster in getting a meal to the table. Temptation gone for good now.

The coke didn't help, but I was better in the late evening and today it's gone. I'm worried there may have been an ingredient I don't eat in it (like cheese) because it wasn't really food poisoning but a revolution in my digestive system lol. Not happy about that.

It's not even about temptation, I just thought what the hell, I don't want to cook today (I actually don't like doing it, even if I do everyday) so let's make it fast and easy. The taste was not even worth it. Livelife, what do you mean you've never tried these meals? You've always cooked from raw and fresh ingredients?!

Most of the time , I cook everyday for myself (and the dogs lol) even though I no longer enjoy the act of cooking or the time it takes or cleanup it makes ..so my home meals have become simpler too over time unless I get the creative bug. If I lived in the middle of town there are several vegetarian and organic and healthy restaurants and such to eat but I live in the suburbs and it's 99% either fast foods, chain restaurants or bad foods. Fast and easy is so appealing, I get it.

Angry they’re selling out, or jealous because they’re easily making money? Anyways it’s a petty complaint

beloved youtubers in their vlogs, where it’s supposed to be raw and natural...
But look at that strategically placed product on their table or at the background, it’s not turned to its back or side — just right in front where the camera will see it.

And of course while they go through their daily vlogz they’ll casually mention the products they’re using and praise it (unknowing viewers, that’s part of the contract deal) because they’re being “REAL” (well maybe 50% real, they claim they’ve been using it forever but once the deal is done and over they’ll move on to the next product and do and say the same thing) — and that they’re “honest” with their reviews.

and all of the sudden all vloggers are going on vacation in the same country, almost at the same time like within the same month.
oh and what do they all have in common?
— that one particular product.
Coincidence? I think not.

but hey product placements are everywhere.
Movies.
TV shows, kdramas specifically lol
Celebrities does it all the time

and now youtubers/vloggers who were supposed to be the “relatable” person — and i guess that’s their selling point.

i just no longer trust the authenticity of their reviews

When reading online about body pain and internet somehow always manages to tell you “you’re terminally ill” — stop trying to turn me in to a hypochondriac.

it’s almost 3am and the body pains persist. I can’t even think clearly enough.

Yes I get it. In my country going out to eat is only common for some special occasions, I don't that very often, and fast foods are definitely not for me either. I'd still rather prepare my food because I like knowing exactly what ingredients are in my meal. In reality I don't cook every single day because I often make enough for 2 days. :)

I do the 2 day thing as well sometimes. I should do it more. I also like knowing exactly what goes into my food.;)

My dog is purposely being a pain in the ass today. He keeps crying to go outside even though he doesn't have to go. And I'm like, dude, "It's cold, muddy, and rainy out; I'm not going to stay out here and play with you. You can play inside." Then when he finally actually went to the bathroom and came back in, he started jumping on everything with his muddy ass paws. So I went and washed his paws with his oatmeal shampoo. He didn't like that too much, and then started picking up random trash off the floor and trying to eat it. I told him "no" twice, and he still did it a third time after the fact. So I screamed, "That's it, go lay down! Bad dog!" And now he's laying there with the cute face, like, "I'm sorry...don't be mad at me."

I want to try Hainanese chicken rice, but nowhere around me serves it and I know nothing about cooking. It looks like such an interesting dish.
