When people are drunk and all in your grill...I need personal space. I just don't really like that shit.

Tell me about it. My stepdad is a drunk douche half the time, and he has the tendency to get up close and personal while talking to you, especially when drunk, and you can just smell the alcohol on his breath. It's like, "Dude, back up three feet. You fucking reek of Jack Daniels."

Besides, with your past history, you certainly don't need to deal with that shit. You've been doing too well.

Opiates are like percocet, oxycodone, codeine, morphine, etc. Basically painkillers that work by attaching themselves to your dopamine receptors, which causes a feeling of calm as well as pain relief.

Oh, so like Advil, Tylenol, and stuff like that? If so, then trust me, you don't want to start on opiates. It doesn't typically lead anywhere good. I thought an opiate was what you were talking about.

Well, look, if your doc does give you an opiate, just be careful, okay? If you're already prone to addictive behaviors, once you try opiates, those behaviors could escalate and become much more dangerous. I've almost died 4 times from opiates. Hell, I was dead, and fortunately, got brought back. I've been addicted to these things for ten years now and I can't stop. Don't go down that road. You've got your whole future ahead of you. You don't need that to get in the way.

I'm not sure what exactly you mean here. Some people definitely care about you, but perhaps they have their own sh*te to deal with and aren't able to show how they feel for your situation at the same time. Or if you mean you don't want other people to be sad for you, well, it's not your responsibility, as long as you understand their position. Everyone has to learn their limits in terms of empathy and compassion. If you feel like it really hurts them to hear about your problems, like they're too vulnerable right now, perhaps seek someone else, there's definitely people who are able to manage. On the forum you can talk about anything, always.
