Yup I sure am. Going for a 2 year program for medical office administration. But after I do that I have plans to go to another college to become a kindergarten teacher 😊 i am doing the moa first because I plan for that as my job while attending college for becoming a teacher, and I will have steady income during summer breaks once I do become a teacher 😁
That's a really solid plan K. I respect how practical and forward-thinking it is. And i love the idea of you becoming a kindergarten teacher, i think you'd be so suited for it. *hug

Whenever someone censors "shooting" as "sh**ting", I read it as "shitting"
I'm seriously so done with the sheer amount of silly censorship going on these days.
If i have to hear "unalive" or "sewerslide" uttered one more time, imma fly to the Youtube HQ and slam someone's head into their desk. :D
Like to see how they butcher the retelling of the act of violence i inflicted on them for being so namby-pamby about words that describe acts of violence. *huh

Thank you! I am really excited for it too. I find so much joy thinking about being a part of laying the foundation of learning for kids. And I have always loved anything medical wise, and I feel doing moa would be great. Eventually I will go and get certified in cpr and first aid as well. *hug

:D my mind reads it that way too. But for real. The other day someone censored the word "stupid" on something. There's also some guy I watch on YouTube and I noticed he was censoring all kinds of words in the subtitles and as he spoke. He censored pain 🤦
I was reading a post yesterday that I couldn't even understand because half of the most important words were censored with no indication of what the word was supposed to be.

Rich people documenting their hospitalization for their fans and follwers and the media picks it up.

Oh boohoo. I can’t sympathize with people who has all the money in the world to shut down a floor, a section, or the entire hospital, just to have a village of people tending to their every need, meanwhile regular people can’t get an appointment.

That’s not a petty complaint. It’s a nutshell description of everything wrong with humanity.

I hate (modern) computers!!! We have processors that can do several BILLION calculations per second, but if I tick a check box, I have to wait 3 seconds for it to even register.

Probably because the website needs to send every click or keystroke to be processed in a data center somewhere. Unfortunately, that’s just over the amount of time where I think I must have missed and then retry, only to see the damn box register the first click momentarily and then un-tick again.

I want to go back to the days when computers did exactly what we tell them to, no more and no less. Now, I have to figure out what behavioral signals their idiotic “AI Agents” need to see before they decide to comply.

Went to my doctor yesterday and she did some typically labs. On the weekends I tend to see my results if they're posted and I view them before her. I've gotten used to understanding the labs and knowing what is what, what might be a concern, what isnt really a big deal even if the system flags it.

Diabetes has ran in my family on both sides so we always keep a check on my A1C levels. 3 months ago I was pre-diabetic (and this wasn't my first time being pre-diabetic either, most of my adult life I have been). I thought, okay, we'll see how it is next time. Usually it stays stable or drops back down. Now, I have put on a fair bit of weight and it has been bothering me a lot for a while. But my medicaid refuses to cover weightloss medications unless you have xyz going on with you for them to feel it is justifiable to perscribe you anything. Also you have try ABC before anything else.

Back to my results, I am now diabetic. Not just "pre" not lingering but actually full blown diabetic. My levels are not terribly high but I imagine that my doctor is going to perscribe metformin for me once she sees the results.

I'm no stranger to taking medications. But, I was actually discussing reducing my meds down over time because, I would like to come off of certain things (because some meds can increase the risk of certain cancers, some cause more trouble or pain with long term use, or cause other complications) I just feel a bit frustrated for needing another medication.

I understand your frustration. I've been diabetic for a long time now. Metformin is a first line medication, but watch for stomach upset and diahreah, there are other first line meds such as glimiperide that don't cause stomach issues. Also, since you are now diabetic, your doctor may be able to get you on a GLP1. GLP1s aren't magic, but they sure do bring down the A1C and most people have some weightloss with them.

I wish you well.

My doctor straight up told me in advance if my results showed I had diabetes then she would put me on metformin. I have a long history of stomach issues including peptic ulcers. I am grateful you told me this and mentioned an alternative (if you saw my other reply to you this is what I was talking about, how my doctors have just not told me everything or all possibilities with my care). She also told me that my medicaid would probably refuse the glp1s still until after I try the metformin first and said they most likely wouldn't allow it unless metformin didn't work after an extended time. She also said that she hated to say that, depending on my labs it could pretty much wirk in my favor (in as few wirds as possible because she hates the thought, but basically if I had diabetes then it would favor me pretty much to gain access to certain weightloss meds).

But, one thing I have been reading over months is my medicaid does state that, if my weight caused comorbidities (not a clue how to spell that) such as high blood pressure (have had it for years and its gotten worse over the last tear), fatty liver (which i have had since a late teen, which has been worse but medicaid allegedly requires a "certain degree of damage" my doctors claimed), yet now I dont know if my doctors are right or if they're just stringing me along.

My coworker keeps calling off. Apparently she has FMLA so it’s covered. I don’t want to be unsympathetic, but I think if it’s to the point where you have to call of basically half your shifts on an ongoing indefinite basis, you should really be rethinking your employment. I also wish they would stop scheduling her for overnights because we already have less staffing on that shift, even when she does show up.

I agree. I'm playing the game with AI Agents. The LLM ones are barely any better than the old scripted ones. I usually put in "GDPR subject access request" if I want t a human and it breaks them. Or for banking "fraud on card" and a human appears immediately 😲

The laptop guy. He fixed my other laptop within a week, no problem. The other one, he kept for 2 weeks. I went to check on progress, he muttered something about changing the ram, didn't work, might be motherboard, I'll have another go now.... that was 2 weeks ago. I'm going to get it back tomorrow. Seems a nice little racket - keep all the machines he can't fix, hope the owner gives up, cannibalize for the SSD and any other working parts. Or just cant be bothered once it's not a simple fix I don't know which it is. I'll be using my anonymous review account to post a description of this (to be fair I posted a good review under my own name but people won't change unless pressured!)
