Supposedly dire wolves were brought back from extinction by some genetic manipulation. So everyone is talking about it. I heard they are going to work on the Woolley mammoth next.

My thought is that is more human ego and vanity. Let's do it just to do it regardless of the direction things go. Bring these critters back but then like people have always done bring about their demise again whether by destroying the habitats, someone just gots to poach one even illegally, or stick them in cages as exhibits. I get the work on the technology because technology is rarely wasted.

I honestly didn't know dire wolves were a real thing. I thought it was just something made up for Game of Thrones.
