Started seriously planning my final day/suicide. I'm so close now

#41
There can be times when life feels like it has closed every door, barred every window and even put tape over the little vents JUST to ram home that all options are gone, and trust me I know how it feels to have just no energy left to keep fighting, but when I decided "I will not die by suicide" I was surprised to find that no matter how many times I spent my very last bit of energy, I somehow managed to trudge 1 step further on nothing but momentum and habit, it sucked and I was miserable for years, and every day, even when options did present themselves they never went anywhere or mean anything and it felt like there was somehow even less hope than there was before, but it did change, suddenly, with no warning things changed, I just had to hold on long enough.

Life sucks sure, and I don't ever claim "things will get better" just that - There is never no hope.
- There is always one tiny bit of energy left in the tank.
- You are worth keeping around.
Well said! And for most people going through a hard time, things will likely get better just through regression to the mean.

Manic and depressive episodes in bipolar last a lot longer than an hour - it's normally several days at least but can be weeks or months.
I think that's true, but it can be tricky because he could have symptoms other than feeling good or energetic that would still qualify.

In any case, I hope he'll see a doctor about this.
