I don't want to steal this from @Champagne, but they started such an awesome thread for last month, and I know a couple of us were hoping to keep it going.

What are your health, weight, fitness goals this month?

I did not meet my 60 mile walk / run goal last month. I got to about 42 miles. So, I'm resetting for 45. It's going to be too hot to get much walking in soon, and I'm weighed down with work. So, I'm trying to be realistic. Also, I am hoping to start swimming again. That will probably take over while it's warm.

I'm still doing Crossfit, and today was SO good. I did my first almost-proper "Hang Power Cleans" at 45lbs. Not a huge amount of weight but the form is improving.

Hoping to possibly up my Crossfit gym visits from 3x to 4x a week. We'll see. My running partner likes us to meet 3x a week, but honestly, it's getting monotonous. I love spending time with her, but the runs themselves are boring now. I've been doing it for almost 6 years at 3x a week, and I'm burnt out! So, we'll see. I'm truly love CF.

So, what would you like to achieve this month?

Good move on resetting the number of miles so as not to push yourself too much. I mainly stick to maintaining myself and perhaps lose a little bit of weight or keep it off working from home, but I admit to being lazier as time goes by. LOL The stationary bike is still my favorite way to exercise and mainly stay toned especially when coupled with the climber and rower. Good luck to all. :)

Hey there - I'm so sorry, forgive me *halo, I did mean to start this thread a week ago but forgot all about it as have been busy *stars

I'm sorry :D*grouphug2Steal away, my friend & good luck with your fitness goals for this month, wishing you the best of luck *hug

I'm going to add more fruits and veggies into my diet for this month and try an hour of exercise a day :)

Good luck everyone for the month of May with all goals and plans and whatever your brilliant ideas for this month are, I'm going to tag the folks who wanted to be tagged for May. Again - my apologies, dunno how I forgot this as I lost quite a few lbs last month that I'm proud of.

Oh fruits and veggies are so good! And it's the right time of year. I'm reconfiguring my diet as well, but am mostly going to try to drink more water. I'm really bad about that.

And thank you for letting me run with this. I felt really inspired last month. I can't wait to hear your progress!

I ran 3 miles today. I used to run with this group, but everyone dropped off when covid hit. Today there was about 6 of us. It was kind of nice to see everyone.

I've talked my husband into taking more walks. He's super sedentary, and he's feeling motivated. I'm hoping to join him, so hopefully that will help me reach my 45 mile goal this month.

Tysm for tagging me @Champagne and for opening this thread @A_J_R I appreciate it very much :)

I feel pretty guilty and ashamed of how bad my self-discipline has been over the last month in terms of walking. I've done a bit of it but not nearly as much as I should have. I have always struggled terribly with being any kind of "self-motivated" kind of person so I'm trying to not be hard on myself about struggling with it like I do.
Seems like it's just kind of how I am so maybe there isn't much I can do about that & I need to stop being so resistant and accept that's how I am. Just not feeling very motivated I guess, oh well.

Good luck to everyone else on their goals though, I know you can do it! :) And congrats on your success with all you've accomplished A_J_R that is very impressive imo! :) *hug*hug

Because I have chronic pain I'm supposed to do physical therapy exercises every day, something I got out of the habit a few years ago, it's only a 30 minute routine which isn't bad plus it will decrease pain and improve mood. Good luck everyone we can do this!
Oh good. Let us know how it goes! Post as often as you want and if you need a little encouragement, we're here.

heyyy. ok this month...
when I went to therapy yesterday... I didn’t know i even have developed panic attacks, so I’m not entirely depress but insomnia indeed cause anxiety a lot as I’ve always mentioned while I work on sleep. so like, my therapist give me a grounding tool during the day to be aware of my new environment more & I am really happy about this grounding techniques being thought. and slowly regain healing sensations I hope. 😺🐳

I had an intense Crossfit class today and did OK. I'm still on the super light weights, but am learning form and keeping up.

Then I came home and mowed the lawn. Figured I was sweaty and already in beast mode. haha So, now I can enjoy the weekend without that chore!
Well done, my friend, you are doing fantastic, keep it up.

My little tip regarding weight (well more like common sense but welcome to my world :D ) : do not start with higher weights, I made a mistake and bought 4kg dumbbells months ago and geez, I could not do the youtube workout with it, well actually, I did do it ONCE but for about 5 days afterwards it was sore to move, sore to sleep...keep up with the lighter ones them move up to higher ones, it may take a while but you will get there.

Keep posting here, you are doing superb and I'm sure this will help your mental wellbeing too.

Awww thank you so much.

My progress: Was very unfit and still unfit but for health reasons I must start slowly and build up, I have lost the recommended amount of weight last month. I am doing well, clothes are getting loose and boy have I found fruits and veggies that I love such as kiwi's (I could live on them) also love grapes as a pineapple based salad. Crinkle sweet potatoes baked, haddock with frozen boiled peas and carrots is one of my favourite dinners :)

Thanks for thinking of me. I appreciate it.

Yes - maybe all the progress you have been making is motivating him and hopefully it will progress to a point where ye will be in it together, even competing against each other, in a healthy way of course. I think the more he sees you doing it, the more he is likely to get healthy too and in this current crisis we have learned we need our health so let's do all we can to improve it. Get out there while the weather is good and it's getting better and brighter, literally :D Best of luck to both of ye *hug

So day two and I am sore, my muscles are tight and so weak I cant even use a drill. So I'd like to work up to that. I used to be an athlete and always kept up those healthy habits, trying not to be so hard on myself for letting myself "go"
