Canadians and others across the globe were treated to an aurora borealis display last Friday night due to a severe geomagnetic storm. Green, pink, yellow and blue vistas were photographed throughout the night.

Saying I love the sky at night would be an understatement. it’s my favorite time and space for meditation in summer while in the pure and simplicity of nature. This night was known the be a good show and I snapped a shot. The aurora is when we get energized particles that have left the sun in more quantities than usual, and they interact with Earth's magnetic barrier

Moon bathing is a spiritual practice as well as a holistic way to care for your mind, body, and soul. It hasn’t a different vibe than Japanese traditional forest bathing (for me anyways) if you are an insomniac or a night person I highly suggest moon bathing 🌙

Mindfulness and relaxation, connection with nature, emotional balance, energy alignment, spiritual awakening, and intuition, self-care, and self-reflection are all benefits of participating in this ancient rite.

Great pictures. I didn't know there was a name for it, moon bathing is a romantic phrase I like it. When I was a kid, my family did that with me, and whoever was staying with us would be included too. Some people refused. Anyway we'd walk into the woods yo a place on an isolated dirt track. We'd all lie down, be quiet and gaze at the clear dark starry sky for a while before going back to the house for the night.

That is lovely that this was something you got to share with your family. The experience sounds truly magical and you’ve got those memories now forever. Pictures don’t capture those kinds of moments but our hearts sure do. I would of been wanting to stay at your place all the time as a kid if company was included that’s for sure

These are beautiful pictures! I wasn't able to see the aurora from where I live, even though I live in a small area. Thank you for sharing these with us. :)
It’s a pretty common thing where I live but those two nights were extra from the storm so other people got to experience it too which is nice but I’m sorry you missed out! I’m lucky I have no street lights where I live so the night sky is a real experience:)
