One of my trusty standbys and usually a guaranteed mood lifter, Monty Python and the Holy Grail

My old copy finally died about a month ago, and I had some Amazon points to spend, so I ordered the 40th anniversary Blu Ray edition (no cost) which arrived today..

Watching the Democratic Presidential Debate. And being a Democrat since the age of 16, if they do win in 2020, all I see is a one term president. Sure, I went to college, and I still have a student loan. Sure, I would like a single payer health care. But, I just feel I am being bribed to vote for someone, and that is just making me think: maybe I should become a independent

Python never fails for me, either. I think earlier in the thread you mentioned the Three Stooges. That's another one. Watching them smacking, poking and wacking one another never fails to put a smile on my face *bleh The violence is absurd and funny on it's own, but what really seals the deal are the associated sound effects.

I'm gonna watch The Stunt Man (1980).

Cameron (Steve Railsback) is a young veteran running from the police. He stumbles onto the set of a World War I movie, where eccentric and autocratic director, Eli Cross (Peter O'Toole), agrees to hide him from the police. Cameron falls in love with Nina Franklin (Barbara Hershey), the film's star, while the production, and the film, blurs the lines between reality and make-believe.

I ended watching Saw 3 instead, I'm not quite right in the head.

Fandango (1985)

Best road/coming-of-age movie ever made...an obscure sleeper that is now a cult classic
It doesn't matter how many times I watch this one (and it's easily been over a hundred viewings).....the ending gets me every time..:(

Honestly, I don't know if movies like this help my depression, or just make it worse....I suppose I'm just a masochist at heart..

Maybe people just have different taste in movies to you, it doesn't make them wrong.
I just thought it was over hyped and everyone seemed else seemed to love it. I was just glad someone else didn't think it lived up to the hype. I suspect it's me with the bad taste! :wow:

People are allowed to like things, and hype is basically the way every film is promoted whether its good or bad.

It's just my opinion of the movie, I don't mean anything by it. Everyone has different taste of course. I just thought that it wasn't as good as the reviews I read. It had some great stuff, the shots with the doll house, the creepy youngest child etc. I just thought that the last third of the movie didn't live up to the premise, but a lot of horror films for me are like that.
I know I'm in the minority with my opinion of it and I was just happy to find someone else who shared that opinion. There's tons of stuff I like that I know most people don't and vice versa.
I'm not saying it was a bad film, far from it, it just wasn't for my taste.
