What are you watching?

Last night I watched Capernaum, a Lebanese film that was released last year. I just randomly picked it out at the library yesterday

It is AMAZING....was nominated for an Oscar for best foreign language film of 2018, and is now the highest grossing Arabic film of all time.

Queued up: Psycho (1960), Alfred Hitchcock's groundbreaking masterpiece, and the first (and best, IMO) slasher film.

Maybe we have some common ground @Lewis83 what are some of your favourite movies?

I like:
King Kong (1933)
Taxi Driver
Fight Club
North by Northwest
Wizard of Oz
Dancing in the Rain

You?
I think the only films I haven't seen on that list are North by Northwest and Dancing in the Rain. I do like Taxi Driver and King Kong, although I've only seen them once, I prefer Taxi Driver to Mean Streets, I didn't really enjoy it as much as Taxi Driver.
As for my favourites, its hard to say as my opinion keeps changing, but I'll list a few of them.

The Thing (1982)
Batman (1989) I think this one might be more about childhood nostalgia, but it's still one I go back to.
Planet of the Apes (1968) The original series of films is actually quite good.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) Its basically just one action set piece after another, but its a lot of fun.
The Matrix (1999) This is maybe a boring choice, but I still get a kick out of watching the first one.
Evil Dead 2 (1987)
Lavender Hill Mob (1951)

Awesome list! I can't argue with any of those great films. The Thing is a personal favourite as well. And Planet of the Apes, it still holds up 50 years on.

PBS Kids with my son.

I have concluded that shows like Let's Go Luna, Wild Kratts and Nature Cat are more intelligent and informative (and entertaining) than 99% of the "adult" programming/dreck out there..

That's like when I was in the hospital for surgery and there were these shows on TV talking about malpractice and objects left in patients. So that scared me a bit. lol
