I'd like to think that when we die it's just over. This life is too long as it is.....the thought of spending eternity in any place is a bit......umm scary (i guess that's the only word I can think of to put there)

I think there is nothingness, and it scares the bejeesus out of me.
You can't experience nothingness because there is nothing to experience.
It's not even cold or dark or empty, because those concepts mean nothing when you're dead.
I find that terrifying. Probably won't sleep again tonight now that I'm thinking about it...

Nothing.
But I'll be dead so I won't be able to experience it.
Of course, nothingness is a logically terrifying prospect so death would still suck.

I am just wondering what you all think will happen to you if die.
How do you, if you believe there is, vision the after life?

nothig happens your body is dead there is nothing ,people belive in all these different religons, and spirtuality to ease there fear of dying. if it works and helps for you to belive there is somthing there go for it

my thoughts are multi fold.I am not sure I believe in heaven in the sense we have popularized.Consider how there is only so much water on our planet..even when it evaporates it rains down somewhere else..always the same amount of water..regardless it's physical state.I think there is something to that in as far as souls..or..what makes us more than just sentient beings. Our physical bodies will decay, fertilize the earth,be reborn as flowers or grass ,etc. But US? what we like to call souls? Have you heard of old souls or new souls? There is more to it."We " may cease to be but something remains..carries on..lives on..is reborn. Then there is the traditional religious beliefs of heaven and hell which I am less sure of..I think Jesus was right about so many things, but heaven and hell are far more complicated and hard to explain than the simplistic fairy tale we have come to popularize. As we evolve,it will become more clear.

My god it's true 6 billion people PLUS all the people who died before.
who has defined the confines of space after 'death". Having said that I have to admit I have some suspicion that there is something to be said about what we go on to is dictated by who we are..or were..many have talked about energy..well..imagine what negative energy goes on to become? Also, only humans seem to have complete free will..why is that? It isn't something you can overlook or pretend isn't significant.

When you die, you die. I don't think that's depressing or scary, I mean does it really matter that much what happens at that point? You're dead, right?

Me? i think that no one can tell. Whether when you die it's just the end. Nothing. Blackness...
Or maybe religion is right, maybbe there is a heaven, or hell. Or maybe the theory of reincarnation is true. Who's to say?

I can't really conceive of not existing. Sure, maybe there is nothing for a while, but eventually I think we have to become aware again, like waking up from a dreamless sleep. If you think about it, the chance of remaining unaware after death is inversely proportional to the length of time that passes. If the universe exists for eternity, then the chance that we will become aware again is 100 percent.

Anyway, right now my beliefs tend to favor quantum immortality; that is, if you die in this universe you continue to be aware in another universe in which you didn't die. This goes on for eternity.

There is only 1 universe it is all encompassing and never ending (size not time). if you are referring to the idea of multiple dimensions of reality or in other words a "parallel universe" then you're also somewhat mistaken as they are all happening in real time and at the same time, just the outcomes of events are different. the theory goes like this: in universe A you are a veterinarian but in universe B you could be the president of a country. Basically your age doesn't change only the world events change from dimension to dimension. (or so the theory goes) the idea of you always being alive in 1 of them is near 0.

I personally only believe in what can be proven. I am a realist.

There's nothing after death. The thought of being reborn until we discover the meaning of life... ha. If the spirit is so almighty enough to be reborn, wtf can't it at least save the memories from our last life so we can become better? I'll tell you what spirit or soul is.... nothing.

Well, the idea was created to negate the need for an observer for quantum decisions. The idea is for every quantum decision (which is seen as a probability of different events happening), each possible event happens in a different world (hence the name, Many Worlds Interpretation). If this doesn't happen, then the Universe is in a constant state of superposition, undecided, if you will, until it is observed by a consciousness. This doesn't really ring true for me, so I tend to believe the Many Worlds Interpretation.

Quantum Immortality is a theoretical extension of that, which says that when you're about to die, there will be a small, but finite possibility that you will live instead. Since this is a possibility, it must happen in one of the many worlds. For example, if you were shot, there's an extremely small possibility that the bullet will quantum tunnel through your head and to the other side, leaving you unharmed. Since this is a remote, but real possibility, it will be realized in at least one of the other worlds. Rinse and repeat for every time you're about to die, and you get Quantum Immortality.

ill probably keep living through my life over and over until i get it right... maybe right now is just that judgement thing, and im forced to watch it in real time?

I do not know what is going to happen when I die, I quess the most logical choice is that life just ends and things return to just like it was before I was born. This is however quite hard to grasp for me, I cant understand the concept of not existing, just like I cant visualise how big the universe actually is.

There is no way of knowing, no proof for any conclusion. So I just don't really think about it and focus on the things that matter here and now. :)
