Yay April. Putting my disorders aside, I’ve been eating at least. I just know even if I can’t stay asleep, if I eat when I’m trying to fight sleepiness when it loses my appetite, it doesn’t do any harm. Eating regularly does help with my digestion that I’ve been eating fruits and yogurt everyday after every small meals I had when I can. And if I can’t sleep and eat well everyday, I think it is okay not to be perfect all the time. I have been focusing on the sensation my body needed when I’ve lost senses to take care of myself, the basic to let my body regulate better with my disorders. Eg, if I can’t tell that I’m hungry, I do know I need to eat and if I can’t, I just don’t force myself. I can regulate to be well later when I’m well.

April is a great time to try this.
I am going to try and eat all 3 meals every day. I know that I need to eat, and that I need to not let my eating disorder take over. I need to learn that no matter how much I weigh, I will always be fine. My weight is perfectly fine, but when the bullies at school got to me, I believed it wasn't. There are some days where I don't eat at all. I need to start eating all the time. I know this. I am thinking of asking some people in real life to remind and force me to eat. But I don't know if this will work. I still feel like I need to be skinnier. I don't know if this is normal for someone my age or not. Being 13, these thoughts may be normal but it seems like that is not so. Anyways, I've started to ramble on. My goals for the month of April are to eat something each day. Preferably 3 meals. And to try to each something special on my birthday. That means I have about 3 weeks to build up to eating something containing sugar. I am going to do my best.

I am going to try and figure out my nutrition. I also want to fit in some walking or doing more on the elliptical. I am doing a wonderful class that gives me a great workout but I want to add in more since I sit at home all day for work. I would also like to strengthen my core I have a hard time lasting 30 sec for a plank though that might be because I am normally doing them after weights and other arm exercises 😂

Hey @Champagne thanks for posting this thread. If you continue to do future ones for May, June, etc. then please feel free to tag me in it if you want :) I won't tag anyone either I guess, glad I happened to notice it'd been posted on the sidebar thing anyway.
I've been struggling a lot with motivation and energy to do much in the way of reaching my weight loss goals.

By the end of the year I am really wanting to have dropped at least half of the weight I want to lose. The total amount I want to lose is about 60-70 pounds (yup, it's not very good at all I know) and I think if I at least get walking for a half hour or more every day (or at least more than half of the days of the week, every week) that I will be able to hopefully drop at least half of that 60-70 pounds.
Trying very hard to eat a lot less chocolate and to eat more salads and other vegetables (and fruits, but veggies being the more boring, imo anyway lol, are of course the more important of the 2).

A thing I'm already pretty good about & that I've stayed quite good about for years now is drinking enough water (most of the time anyway) so I am glad about that. :)

Wishing the best of luck to everyone with their weight loss goals, we can do it! :) *hug

I'd like to drop down on my soda intake, and get back to my 60-70 mile walk/run goals. I was able to do that at the beginning of the pandemic, but depression got the best of me.

I'm also starting a new weightlifting program in April. Very nervous. But excited. I love weights, and this will be a progression from where I left off when I moved earlier this month. So, I'm in!!!

I love to talk about fitness, so this is great. And, btw, no one fails when they set out to make themselves healthier. It's all a process and takes time.

Thank you!

I walked about 14 blocks today, but then I ended up buying some sweets. So I feel like I'm already failing.
Failure is the tuition you pay for success ;) *hug

You're doing great girl, keep those legs going forward 🦵🦵 👣

You can do this hun, keep it going and by the end of April you'll be a little fitter, feel healthier and most of all feel better about yourself. 💕

I still really like my stationary bike the most using it while watching TV shows and movies on the PC here. The bike is great for cardio and the rower and vertical climber here are wonderful for bulking up the muscles.
Keep it up @KM76710

You sound like you are doing fantastic and know how to stay fit. You should be proud of yourself for looking after your body so well 🦾 *hug

Hi hun, I do plan to make these threads monthly as they do seem to be forgotten about lately and of course I will remember to tag you *hug

I've had issues recently (won't post them here) but I've learned not to take my health for granted. I too had motivation issues, something cured that very quickly but what I've learned is... Plan, plan, plan. Start simple. Start with something you are likely to do and most of all, enjoy. If you don't enjoy it, distract yourself while you are doing it or find something else that works for you.

My advice to you would be to set specific realistic goals and write them down and stick to them then increase as time goes on, just like you just wrote down your weight loss goals, don't put yourself down by saying they are not good, say you can succeed, believe you can and you will is a quote I didn't used to think much of but it's proving true as you get your progress moving. I think 60-70lbs is very achievable, and considered healthy to lose by the end of the year. I did some calculations for you *hug

There's 39 weeks left in the year. If you lose 1.5lb every week you start the new year at a 58lb loss and if you lose 2lb a week you will lose 78 by the new year. So under 2lbs a week IS realistic AND healthy. It's great you're drinking lots of water, keep that up. Also maybe try eating some dark chocolate and changing up your salads, find products or dressings to add (make sure the ingredients are weight loss friendly) etc...that make them nicer and keep trying new healthy foods to add to them be it seeds or even pieces of coconut or mango, I'm sure you'll find something tasty in the end :)

Eliminate the mindset of can't because you can do anything. 💦

Weight loss doesn't begin with a dumbbell, it begins with a decision in your head and you've planned your goal you want to achieve so you're half way there!!! Good luck @JMG We're all together in this. 💞 *grouphug2

Hi there @A_J_R

I love talking about weight loss, you love talking about fitness. We're a perfect team, hehe. *shy

Best of luck with your weightlifting program, it's definitely natural to be nervous after the year we have had, I'm sure you'll be just fine one you are settled in *hug Wishing you luck also with your 60/70 mile target.

What you said at the end of your post makes perfect sense, it is a process and takes time, keep us up to do date *hug

We're cheering you on!! *bounce
