I think my injuries are on the mend. Today was the first day they didn't hurt at all when I started running rather than walking. : ) So today is marked back-to-running on the calendar. Just 2 miles, but a nice run.

Did biceps, abs, chest yesterday evening - lowered the level of weights to lift per arm increase the number of reps & sets~ *thumbsup

Today I hope to go for a near full body workout ~ am stuck at home because of the weather anyway, damn snow! *rant

Went shopping and found a nice shirt to wear for a festival coming up next month:

This sort of thing motivates me a lot, meeting people/friends/family - going out to a music event/festival and such.
It makes me want to reach a new lower target weight for the next time I'm going out.

Exercising to just exercise is more than good for sure, I do it for mental health a lot - just get rid of the stress -!

The eventual result is also about feeling comfortable and treating yourself well (spoiling yourself a bit) with a new shirt that wouldn't have fit otherwise if we didn't exercise or reached our target weight at all ~ I feel. *hi5

I got about 2 miles of walking yesterday, then about 2 of easy slow running. It's weird that I get far more tired from walking. Today I had some food shop errands to do, and ended up with no desire to go back out into the streets for a run. Hopefully I'll get a few miles of my usual slow running done tomorrow.

Lots of dumbbell exercises yesterday - increased the weights from 10 kg per arm to 15 kg per arm now for biceps - took me awhile to get there. *yes4

Decided to use my barbell too again at quite a low weight to start some exercises like deadlifts.

All in all quite pleased with progress & results. I think my target weight is just about what I am now, just wanting to build a bit more muscles ~ by doing what I do now & enjoying a variety of protein rich meals. *thumbsup

(Pet peeve - the advice is usually poorly phrased in my opinion: "You must eat/consume X grams of proteins a day" - but reading that doesn't inspire or stimulate me actually doing that consistently. It's like a visually pleasing component is lacking.)
