I did the same. Days of rest can never be underestimated.
I've had 2 weeks of not rest, but incapacitation due to covid and the cat from hell.

I was feeling desolate so decided I had to get out for a run. I managed to run 4.3 miles at a fairly sedate pace but not bad considering I'm 52 and I've only just recovered from Covid for a second time. Didn't feel any ill effects or lingering damage.

As for the cat I can't say, as when I got in, I found her on my counter top for the first time she's been here. Or maybe the first time I've caught her.

Having a cat that has buried its shit in litter with its paws walking where I prepare my food is just about the last straw - I can't afford complicated automatic air blaster things like you see on the TV Cat from Hell things. I just want my life back. All the de-stress from the run was just gone in seconds and I might as well not have bothered.... At least I know I can still run. I feel like running out of my door and never coming back at the moment. I've tried everything and this cat simply does not want to cooperate - it;s contaminating every area of my life. I don't get it, I give it a home, everything it needs, and all it does is stick its middle paw up at me all the time.

It's really difficult to stick with taking care of yourself when you're struggling.

Past two weeks or so I haven't been doing much but I was planning on a rest period anyway.

Today was the first day I had a proper workout. I did bench press @70kg for 19 reps, then another four sets. Got a slight shoulder injury atm so it's light lifting until it heals. Hoping to get back to over 100kg soon.

I have been eating well today. At my worst I lost a lot of weight but I'm doing well to keep eating and looking after my body.

Pounded wet cold pavement for 1 hr and 20 minutes and fell over the 10k mark in a semi conscious heap *wacko

Lovely relaxing run in the dark, punctuated by homes totally covered with elaborate Christmas lights (can't heat or eat, but can clearly afford to drain the national grid with huge inflatable Santas and Reindeer *confused
