I did the same. Days of rest can never be underestimated.
I've had 2 weeks of not rest, but incapacitation due to covid and the cat from hell.
I was feeling desolate so decided I had to get out for a run. I managed to run 4.3 miles at a fairly sedate pace but not bad considering I'm 52 and I've only just recovered from Covid for a second time. Didn't feel any ill effects or lingering damage.
As for the cat I can't say, as when I got in, I found her on my counter top for the first time she's been here. Or maybe the first time I've caught her.
Having a cat that has buried its shit in litter with its paws walking where I prepare my food is just about the last straw - I can't afford complicated automatic air blaster things like you see on the TV Cat from Hell things. I just want my life back. All the de-stress from the run was just gone in seconds and I might as well not have bothered.... At least I know I can still run. I feel like running out of my door and never coming back at the moment. I've tried everything and this cat simply does not want to cooperate - it;s contaminating every area of my life. I don't get it, I give it a home, everything it needs, and all it does is stick its middle paw up at me all the time.
