Forgot to update last week but did an hour walk today down to barbers and back and didn't feel tired. Went to shops on way back home to pick up my prescriptiom and finally found pepsi max raspberry. Been looking for it for weeks *dance1

I used to be very active. A year and a half ago, I was running, walking, hiking, did all sorts of activities, and I was much happier. But, then, all of a sudden I fell into some melancholia, and now it's turned into depression. I struggle a lot, I can hardly force myself to get out of the house. I did an hour walk last evening, I did, but I can't push myself, like I did before. Even though I know all about the good benefits of exercising...
So, I am with you here. ❤

I've tried exercising, walking, weights, cross fit. None of it did any good. Still depressed. I think it is BS when they say exercise is as good as anti-depressants. I have never felt good after exercising.

I don't actually find most exercise helps me with depression, other than extreme exercise where the endorphins kick in. But I do feel better knowing I did it. I'm trying to exercise at least 3 times per week, with 45 minutes on my elliptical trainer and 30-40 minutes of free weights, setups and push ups.

One thing that motivates me is I watch YouTube videos while working out. Mostly fashion, makeup, "hacks" and vlogs. Stuff I don't have to pay too much attention to. I don't allow myself to watch this kind of video at any other time.

Well I've been going to yoga and feeling more energy. I'm very depressed every other day, but at the same time, I've been going out and meeting people and that lifts my mood. The exercise has helped a lot, to feel better and wanting to go out at all.

I actually prefer the cold weather for exercising, I get too warm in the summer. I have found exercising to be good for taking my mind off things. I've always kept fit, but since I got dumped I've had more time on my hands and that's meant more time to think bad thoughts, but the extra exercise that I'm fitting in gives me something to do with my free time.
