How Are You Feeling Right Now?

I’m quite deflated.

I did a volunteer shift, so I got my horsey fix, lol. I feel calmer from that. I also introduced myself to a horse that I hadn’t met yet. He is much younger than the others and so he’s more outgoing.

Since then, though my intrusive thoughts have been taking up so much energy that I am walking in a fog, or at least that’s how it feels. I kind of “surfing” them, as in noticing their presence and still staying on top of them. This way it’s harder for them to drag me down.

I'm doing OK still. My tooth was in agony last night due to the stress clenching over past weeks, but DIY mouthguard is helping with the night time stuff - during the day am trying to be disciplined and not keep probing to see "does it still hurt?". Pain is down today. I might have a issue with how teeth are interacting (a high point) which is only just coming to light. I can be OCD about my teeth - I went to a checkup last year and said it feels like I've lost some bits off teeth since last time (my tongue became completely convinced I could feel sharp jagged bits everywhere) - he said it all looks fine. Meanwhile I've had this weird sensation when I bite, which is on the same tooth, so could be adding pressure to even mild clenching and traumatizing the tooth. Plan to get the pain down then book another dentist visit.

Well, still very much in between. I'm toying with dark thoughts in my head sometimes, but this is not disruptive. Fortunately, I am not really depressed, mostly because one of my most crippling symptoms is usually psychomotor retardation, which I do not suffer from at the moment. So, I can keep myself busy with work and hobbies without issues, even though motivation is somewhat low.

Wishing you mainly positive thoughts LumberJack. I admire how you navigate your feelings. Sometimes i tend to ignore my feelings and issues until they really surface. Hope you have a decent day

Yes. Little moments of joy or peace or acceptance are so necessary. *hug

And then there is also feeling feelings. Having them and being ok with whatever is being felt. I listen to Good directives from so many knowledgeable people I tune into and it's so blasted difficult at times not to shut down. Which of course I do still. But I'm trying like hell to feel what I feel....it's what I'm trying to follow with now and check in at all kinds of points in the day like "Ok Janis, so how are you feeling at this very moment?".....and doing this several times a day. I'm persevering and it can be annoying and I'm just doing it anyway.....it's supposed to have positive results so I'm giving it a shot.

Fucking fed up. Been having a good day. The UTI crap is finally over after they did the sensible thing and gave me 2 weeks of antibiotics. Cleared the infection.

Then today I get a little brown envelope from urology hospital specialist saying they want to do x, y and z tests on me. The infection is fixed. I don't want these investigations. They did this with my hip and now I am labelled as having arthritis when I'm walking 70,000 steps a week. Fuck knows what they will find but if they go looking they will find something. I got out of the fucking crappy prostate cancer test but this walks me right back into that area. Oh, you are now much better and everything is working fine? We'd better do all these tests then. No wonder the NHS is such a fucking disaster.

I'd stopped clenching my teeth from stress today. Now I'm back in fucking agony as the stress just lowered my pain threshold to zero.
