In case I don’t see you

#1
In case I don’t see you
When my eyes are clouded over
And when I’ve become one with the earth
When I’m all just a memory
Do not grip upon the past
Nor the burden of remembering it
Look forward as I once could
And see what I did not

Sometimes, in my moments of despair, I find inspiration to write down my most raw and deep emotions. Depression has been a quiet war for me, so in a way these poems help me keep fighting. The verses occupy my mind as if they are liberating soldiers, freeing me from my own darkest thoughts. I will see the morning sun soon, for now. I hope these words can help you as they have me.

So so tired

Hi.
Writing our feelings down can be beneficial in a desire to express and perhaps release them to some degree.

I often read my writings back over time and they clearly demonstrate the multiple layers of depression.
What has struck me recently is that we can write a lot about our feelings and circumstances in a variety of perspectives depending on the situation and day but I know personally that my feelings, thoughts and behaviours all stem from one issue and unless resolved sensibly then I will continue to burden myself and others (ie people here) with the same bullshit and tireless excues that prevent me from achieving what I want and really need.
My writing always carries the same messages and an inability to free myself from a difficult past.

Its easy to know what you want but often difficult to obtain with the wall of depression in between desire and motivation.
I love the way you view the benefits to writing.
