Insomnia? Welcome to Team NoSleep.

Unfortunately for me I have joined Team Insomniac. Which is weird because 1 I haven’t had this happen to me in over 15 years and 2 I am exercising more than usual. But it is midnight and I’m still wide awake. Not even racing thoughts just wide awake. It maybe the epidural didn’t fix my pain as I would love to be asleep and free of pain for a couple of hours. I could take a sleeping pill but I don’t want to get addicted again to them. The worst thing that could happen is for me to sleep late in the morning.

Sorry you can't sleep. I haven't been sleeping much for a long time now. Whether it's related or not, my kidneys decide to retain water from later afternoon until bedtime, and then decide to flush my system overnight. So far changing what I drink and when has not had any effect. It's not a typical middle aged man thing, it's actual volume - nowhere near enough to be of concern, it matches my intake and not leading to thirst etc, it's just all coming out at the wrong time 🫨

I hope you get some sleep and keep the pain managed @cymbele
