Jim's Café - Thursday 11th February

you brought it up, its fair game 
No idea what year you were born (feel free to volunteer that info if you want, if not here then in a PM if ya wanted lol) 
but the dragon years are: 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000. Snake years come after Dragon years so if you were born 1 year after any of those dragon years then you're a Snake. I'm a rat. Happy Chinese New Year to those who celebrate it though. I love finding out people's animals for that & find it very fascinating 
I know the animal years of various members of my family (mom, dad, sis, a couple of my uncles, some friends, and various famous people).
Love this cafe for today & how there's diff. "tables" lol Tysm for tagging me @Dante and also wanted to say love those cool graphics you made, that's such a great idea! Gonna do that for all the future cafe's I post, except mine won't have my username (just wouldn't be comfortable with that, not a criticism though I think it looks great like I said) it will just say "Jim's Cafe" but ya I'm totally gonna make a special thing and it'll have pix on it (I'm sure some people can guess what those pix might include lol) :p Anyway I'm sure this is quite predictable of me but I'm picking to sit at the "Normal" table lol so here's my answers to those q's
1) What mistake did you make in the past that, once made, couldnt be undone, and you just had to live with it?
I think of most mistakes as not really being able to be "undone" but maybe I'm getting too technical about it I dunno. This is hard for me to answer cos I don't do "regret" well - at all. I prefer to just think of it as "it's done, can't do anything to undo it now so I'll learn what I can so I don't do it again and that's that".
2) When was the last time you had a YOU day, no one else, just you having a great time in your own company? What did you get up to?
I try to do that every day in some way or another (not the "whole" day since there's often some kind of chore or obligation I have to deal with) but hmm a whole day....been quite a while...probably at least 4 months or more (hard for me to get that since the person I live with is almost always home, esp. these days) it's ok though I'm glad I have a bedroom at least cos for 5 years I didn't even have that. I've never openly admitted that on here before now cos I felt ashamed of such a fact but I just don't give a damn what people think of me anymore so whatever. Anyway I'm very grateful for what I have so I try to just focus on that as much as I can
3) When was the last time you made a new friend?
Pretty recently, seems quite promising so far I'm glad to say
4) When was the last time you tried to play a musical instrument? How did it go?
Think I played either the piano or xylophone at my sis's last time I went there (or maybe the time before, on her bday lol) it went fine I was able to play "Happy Birthday" for her without mistakes so I consider that going pretty well cos I don't ever play by knowing the notes only by the sound so I end up having to memorize which place to play to make the right note lol.
5) Do you enjoy sports? Which sports? (Crazy sports count and are encouraged)
No not really lol sorry.

I have the same plectrum somewhere, it's pretty nice.

Sorry, for the "mass~confusion!" (as that was not what it was intended to be. . ) But! I do know I have a tendency to... "Confuse," often times, whether I want (or try) to, or not!
'Twas actually a Birthday Card to me, from my Parents. . . though the 'Plectrum,' reminded me of You!
And that also reminds me, I could probably do some cleaning off of my nightstand, as my B-day, also happens to fall in Sept.!
(& needless to say~?) that shot was snapped moments before its posting..

I actually use a "medium," I'm a wimp, I know- (or the Jim Dunlop 1 mm black Nylon kind...) // but in all honesty; mostly these days - it's just playing nearly all things: or every-thing, with my "fingers~!" : ) So, most of the stuff I've posted, that you've perhaps heard. . . 99.9% of it was done just in that / or this - way.

I "USED," to know which it was --from, I'd say at or around the time I was a small child, and visiting Chinese restaurants & seeing them on their placemats. But ever since I've started ot lose more & more, of my "mind," & with it; mostly "Memory!" I can't (seem to) remember a darn/dang thing - these days~ for instance, if yo8u said to me: What is your middle name? I need to know now, or somebody gets seriously injured in your name, kind of a thing (cos' this happens every so often / just kidding / no, it does not..) but i would be scrambling in all likliehood (e?) to buy time - & then go & look it up/check my driver's license or other I. D. for proff/ vderification & or confimration of such, or said findings! ( ; I dunno what that says about me - but it surely can't be good!

Also sorry to hear you did not have a safe place, or "space" / (room) to call your own, for a while there, @JMG ! That would be very tough & unfortunate - uncomfortable, indeed. . . Aw no worries Dante I love the cafe as you did it and the graphics are really great too as I said. I don't think it matters how often or not a person posts a cafe and I don't think it woulda seemed fake/phony or anything negative like that. And don't worry, your cafes never suck imo I don't think any cafe's suck, I'm always just grateful when someone has taken the time to post them. When there's pix and/or q's then those are some of my faves for sure, but even when those aren't there it's still appreciated, always Hope you're well and having a nice day
Ty MBG that's nice of you. As I said I know I have a lot to be very thankful/grateful for and at least I've never been without any home at all so I know it could easily be a lot worse. The fact that I've even so far managed to avoid that is some kinda miracle imo since I overall don't have nearly enough looks, brains OR personality to be able to charm people and therefore have a bit of a safety net of some kind. Anyway it's fine, I like to think the more time goes by without truly having that (from non-family members I'm talking about here) that the stronger it makes me anyway, so really they are doing me a favor & I outta thank them for that!
To answer your q about singing, I do not sing in the presence of others, ever. Don't think I could ever sing & play the piano or any other instrument at the same time though, as I said the talent runs extremely thin in me (basically non-existent lol, not a diss, just the truth) and I doubt I'd be able to divide my attention in such a way. I greatly admire those who can do that though, for sure!

So, it was like one big-room: w/my bed & I didn't have much else; for some reason or another, at that given time... I think I had like 3 Guitars (& God knows why?) but that was almost about it, really- there was a kitchen & bathroom. You really couldn't ask for; nor need much more (I have found) in Life~ ; ) Do you know, Star Wars* *Star Wars on piano!
And don't sell your self, too /or So- short; I believe you've got plenty of, or many (great!) talents- :^) that is all~
