I'm so glad you've done well today @Petal :) What make is your cranberry green tea?

I've had an ok day. I haven't managed any exercise but I've done so much walking over the last few days that it doesn't matter too much. I've managed 4 cups of green tea but it hasn't suppressed my appetite! I guess you've got to drink it regularly for it to have any effect. I didn't have any breakfast- just a skinny cappuccino, lunch was a cheese salad, I had half an avocado as an afternoon snack and then for dinner I had fish pie with peas, carrots and a slice of wholemeal bread and butter.

Wow you have had a really good day food wise- well done :)

Thanks for the info on the tea- I'll have to get some. I have tried a few different flavours but not a cranberry one.

Yeah definitely get some hun, its unbelievable tasty, so much tastier than standard green tea.

Well done for reaching 4 cups today, yeah...I would imagine we'd have to drink it daily to see effects but we shall see :)

How did today go for you @Woowoo

I drank some water, not 1.5 litres (but the day isn't over yet) and did really well food-wise.
Well done Petal, you're doing brilliantly. My day has been part good and part bad. On the plus side I did 20 minutes walking and I drank 2 cups of green tea and 4 cups of peppermint tea. However, I didn't eat well at all. The day started ok with a skinny cappuccino and some fruit for breakfast. Lunch was a cheese salad, which was ok as I didn't have much cheese, but this evening I was very naughty because I had a bunless cheeseburger and a large portion of fries. I'm away from home at the moment so it can be more difficult and I wanted something quick. But I must do better tomorrow.

Thank you hun :)

You had a treat - that's allowed. Don't beat yourself up over it. Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet :) You've been doing fantastic this month so don't let one treat take you off track, well done for the exercise and the green tea's.

Hope you have a nice time away from home =)

10000 steps is brilliant sassy and quite difficult to achieve. Well done.

I would like to join in. I need extra motivation. I'm trying to get back to the gym. I went yesterday and today and did run 5km. Planning to go tomorrow as well.
It helps me a lot but it is hard to force myself sometimes as all I want is to stay in bed..

Of course you can join @Mishka1204 Well done on the running, that is awesome, I would so not be able to do that lol. It definitely is hard to find the motivation to do much when feeling down but with the support of others and wanting to get fit and healthy, you can do it :) Make a goal for tomorrow and we'll be sure to spur you on. Welcome to our club :D

I would like to join in this thread if that's OK? My eating and movement are two of the first things to deteriorate when I feel rubbish, which of course then makes it worse, so any concerted effort to keep healthier would help! I am not overweight, though it has crept up a significant amount recently - two people asked when my baby is due  but I go days...weeks maybe...where I live on sugar and bread and coffee and ne'er a piece of fruit or veg crosses my lips! Help!

Of course you can join, all are welcome :)

I hope we can help each other achieve our goals and share tips, ideas, daily goals etc...A lot of people comfort eat on those days you feel down in the dumps, you're not alone. It helps to have others to help and talk to when feeling this way or just venting etc... :)

Best of luck to you and hope you reach your target of fitness and health as well as appearance.

Welcome to our little club @Mishka1204 and @Cookie_crumbling :)

I know how hard it is to motivate yourself to eat healthily and get any form of exercise when life is tough. It is hard enough just to very out of bed. I had a bad day last week where I just stayed in bed all day. That evening I forced myself to contact a friend and arrange to go for a walk the next morning so that I'd have a reason to get out of bed. The following day was a good day.

Anyway my goal for today is just to eat better than I did yesterday. What about everyone else? Any goals for today?

For all you green tea drinkers, I'd like to recommend my favourite type- Hojicha.
It's green tea made with roasted leaves, has a pleasant caramel color and relaxing taste.

As for healthy eating habits, I've been trying "Intermittent Fasting". This covers various methods of periodic fasting, in my case I'm doing the method where you allocate 8 hours a day for eating and don't eat or drink anything besides tea/water for the rest of the day. Some benefits include increased lifespan, weight loss, easier to build muscle, increased metabolism, brain health, lowering risk of Alzheimers/cancer. I believe the theory behind it is, humanity has formed habits through evolution, and our ancestors were not always able to have food at any time they wanted, so they often had periods of fasting when they had no food. Our bodies adapted to this lifestyle for thousands of years, and only recently have we been able to have such surplus of food.

I would like to make more time this month for running, and light muscle-building exercises.

Ok... i did it. 5km 3rd day in a row. Leg hurts. I had an injury back in October. But it's not too bad. At least my hands stopped shaking. Now back to work (I go to the gym during lunch break). How did you do today?
