medical professionals that push way too hard for you to get better. right now my weight and blood sugar have gotten bad again, not that bad but i was making very good progress for a while. i can't eat what i want for what reason to stay alive a few more years. but when it comes to pain relief they back off. i can't count how many times my wife has kept me safe lately. my nurse is coming today and i have to try not telling how i really feel since i will see my doctor tomorrow and he would find out today. but otherwise i'm ok lol

Good luck with things Mike! I'm sorry to hear of things not being better on the physical health front. Perhaps it has been exacerbated by the winter season & months? I know that around here, people tend to refer to that, as their "Winter Spread!" (with which: they've now got to contend with...) But anyway~ wishing you a successful encounter with your medical professionals, and that they will both prove helpful for you, now & going ahead. . . : )

She just threatened to record me because I decided not to drop everything and cater to her every whim. Recording is very much not allowed here due to privacy concerns. So I get to write in my note how awful she is but nothing will be done.
My response would likely be: You want to record me not caring about what you are doing or giving you heed? It is time out of your life that you are wasting, not mine, have at it. LOL

I tried to answer all my midterm exams to the best of my ability but i have zero confidence that i will pass all of them. It hurts my gut that i may possibly fail all of them this semester.

My mom is not feeing well regarding her digestion in the colon area and she’s 64 this year and she refuses to see a doctor, she thinks it’s cancer.

My dad whose 70 this year is starting to show signs of being forgetful.
Both of them are retiring from work, even though they want to keep working, their work doesnt value them anymore.

My tom cat is showing signs of megacolon again almost a year later of his medical confinement of the same condition, all of 6 of them are now back on wet food only diet and it’s becoming costly to me on top of managing law school.

looking for an apartment near my school that will accommodate my cats is impossible, the 4 hours commute daily are exhausting.

there is once again an abandoned momma dog and her puppy in the vacant lot, and no one is doing anything, not even the hoa, this is in light after the senseless killing of a dog in the news recently.

i remembered my ex telling me these things are not my responsibility and i should dissociate myself but how can i do
that when the problem is right in front of me, the vacant lot is in front of our current house across the street, i can see them from my balcony, i can’t just ignore them.

My family just shakes it off because they dont care about animals, which is why my cats are restrained only to my bedroom.

a school friend confided to me the effects of her bpd medication and i am concern for her as well.

my middle brother is going abroad for work this month, my mildly autistic brother at the age of 40 is being taken care of by my mom who is not feeling well already. And they want to sell the old family house.

i cant focus on studying.

i just cant anymore, my mental health has degraded rapidly this March, i feel like i need to see a psychiatrist and get medication.

I'm sorry,
That's a lot to be going on, getting medical (mental, emotional) attention seems reasonable
I hope you'll do better in your midterms than you fear
Please take care of yourself
We're here for you

peace

the nurse changed the appointment to today at the doctors office. both appointments went pretty good. my nurse wants me to use the continuous glucose reader on the arm so i'm trying it. since they consider it durable equipment i have to pay 20% so we will see what happens.

my blood pressure was high for the first tme in 20 or more years but otherwise ok. we talked candidly about stuff including pain. i asked him to help find something because i was out of ideas. i also told him the truth about my wife having to keeping me safe during really bad pain spikes lately. he did have an idea, lidocaine patches. 4 % are otc which means out of pocket and that would cost a lot. but 5% are prescription so should be covered. insurance company needs prior authorization so i hope it goes through ok. also ekg was good

how are you doing?

Thanks for the update. Well then it sounds like 5% then....I hope that these have an impact on the pain level after you start using them...I'm glad you shared with the doc. Did they take your B/P more than one time during the visit to see if it had come down any while you were there? Pain will make that happen but you have been in pain for years so not clear on why it would be elevated. I know you aren't nervous being in his office (I think).... Did the doc seem concerned? I'm not a fan of the gauges that they put on your wrist or make you touch your chest with for blood pressure readings, they are often not so accurate. .....

I'm still funky right now. It's being intensified by a tooth I'm having issue with, I'm finally biting the bullet and scheduled today for a probable root canal next week, the crown I had done last month didn't take care of the pain problem completely and there's not much other option available to my knowledge. I certainly don't want an infection. And it's hard to eat so I mostly don't and that needs to be taken care of...........having so much fun, lol.....;)

i hope it doesn't have to be a root canal but if so it's better than being in pain or having an infection.

the doctor was a bit concerned about the blood pressure because it has been good every time i go in since i started bp medication around 20 years ago, but he didn't hit the panic button yet lol. last 2 or 3 years my normal pulse rate is between 80 and a 100 at rest. i have an oxygen/pulse meter at home and check it often

My resting pulse is also between 80/100. Has been for years. Maybe if I would lose weight and exercise more....

ever since i went two weeks without my ozempc due to a shortage 3 or 4 months ago my diabetes has been out of control. i'm on the ozempic now but it's not getting better and i don't know why. i was doing so well, i got down to 30 units of tresiba ( insulin pen ) a day now i'm back to 100 units and my glucose #s are still way too high. i'm really getting tired of watching what i eat if it doesn't help. for about a week this month i ate what i wanted and it only caused my #s to rise slightly

I need to leave where I’m at currently at work to take care of part of my job, but I’d have to call for someone to come back and cover for me, and I’m just remembering recently when the lead refused to do anything and got mad at me for asking multiple times. I don’t wanna make anyone mad :(

That my back is forever "fixed," in one particular specific region or place. And it won't allow me to move/bend/twist, etc. As normal, or as I'd used to be or have been able (to have done so) - prior to - which was about ten years ago now. Young Man crashed into me on the highway / interstate of major metro on memorial day weekend, when he couldn't stop for upcoming traffic up ahead (so he collided with me instead). Anyway, I just remember him standing outside my blown out driver's side window, in a preacher's prayer position. And apologizing to me. Saying that he'd had, "3 speeding tickets; & a suspended license..." / There was a woman who'd witnessed it: the whole thing & after checking on me briefly (I mean she was talking / communicating with me, and I could hear her, but I could not answer her back - so she just goes, "Yeah.. Stay-put! And don't try to do any-thing. . .") & then proceeds to run over to him & start screaming in his face at the top of her lungs! All I remember thinking -- & I was fine outside of the above aforementioned inconvenience, and then etc. But that I didn't want him, the driver (21, I believe?) to get into any serious trouble, or anything. And that was my main or most pressing & major concern at that time. And not the diamond size 'chunks,' of broken glass - that were stuck in my hair. I went to Target, and got some sunglasses, so as to not have any blow back into my eyes~ *Genius, I know! ;-D (so I really wish I could still swim, but...) & then the pain mgmnt doc, who'd evaluated me many years later, somewhere in the middle (let's say 5 yrs. ago). Did his range of motion tests & whatnot, all based on anatomy, et cetera. But the one problem area in particular, so he was testing both sides/or directions with which I could move. And he goes, "Ok, so in one direction - (right) You're like an 80-yr. old... & then in the other (left) You're like an 80-yr. old who's in REALLY BAD SHAPE!" So, that was comforting. Had an MRI done at that time as well, after a cancelled ct scan. Any way nothing of significance showin g up on there - so no referral to specialist. Went to chiro's for yrs., & I'd thought that this was their bread & butter, or specialty (car/auto accidents): or one of them, anyway^ well, no such luck w/me. The one who works on the local university's national title winning hockey team's players, goes "It's locked-up. With a PERMANENT INJURY!" (& that, he didn't think/know/or feel - that he may or might ever be able to get it corrected, adjusted, or 'fixed!'. So, lovely, brilliant. And so on, and so forth. Had the injury been to the other, or opposite-side. I'd have had to have stopped playing the guitar (at least when seated, anyway!). . . as I can no longer rotate/twist, as you would when turning around to check your blind spot, or back out of a parking lot in reverse. I guess it's also lucky as I'd have essentially no longer been able to drive, either, now that I come to think of it. Unless, I'd have wanted to neglect those things~ *:D)>_!(=

i'm sorry that you have to deal with that. chronic condtions wth little or no hope of recovery really sucks. i only have one piece of advice : never give up looking for help. do a lot of research yourself and never give up. i hope the pain isn't too bad
