My doctor is too smart and I'm too stupid. I told him my psychiatrist was nice enough to give me refills because all the meds I take at night fell in the sink and he refilled them. So I asked if he'd refill my oxycodone that fell in the sink. He said 'call the drug store '.. turned out he's restricting my opioids a bit more. So that I'd feel like a drug addict asking after 5 days to 7 days worth of them for more. I already hate having to call on every 12 days, it makes me think the store looks ate like an addict. I DO need them. And by now an increase in dosage because I've got a tolerance to it. I know people who get much higher doses for pain.
I'll look at it as if he's helping me. I have a sarcoma they are going to measure with an ultrasound again in 6 weeks. If I'd need surgery there is only a few days supply given. Opiates make people more sensitive to pain, so I'm going to do my best to hold off taking them until I'm too in pain and extremely irritable.

Been waiting a long time for my one medication to get delivered. I'm out of it now. I got an email today saying it was out for delivery, and now the status page says it was delivered, but I don't see it anywhere.
I just checked the tracking site and it's showing the wrong zip code on the delivered status

i'm really pissed off. part of solving the opioid crises is they put a quota on opioid meds. Have to make due with 72, they said it's backordered until the middle of april. i don't know what i'll do next month
once they reach that limit they can't make more until it's time to start again. when my doctor ordered my morphine no local walmarts had it, i called hanneford and they had 72 left. i'm supposed to get 90 but i'll make 72 work somehow. my wife and i are working on a solution now. i do have options, i have two bottles of whyskey and half of a fith of scotch that's 34 years old so that one is first lol. i also have a lot of edibles so i can do something to help.

i hope not. anxiety meds like lorazepam are extremely important. i rarely use mine but it's dangerous if i need them and don't have them. but then again there is an upside for the government. just like with pain patients with untreated or undertreatment people with mental health issues will take their lives as well and the government can save money. i thought this was a cruel joke when i first heard this but i'm not so sure if it's intentional or not anymore

I need to forget about getting cheaper healthcare in the UK. As an immigrant, I paid thousands to get the same NHS services as any citizen (£1,035 per year), but I still have to pay for my prescriptions... which are actually really expensive (£19,80 for 28 days).
I'm laughing because what did I expect at this point? But inside I'm dying... slowly.

So for example if you're getting 2 items per months then you'll be saving £123 on a yearly certificate or £27 over a 3 month period.
You can buy one either online from NHSBSA or in person from participating pharmacies.
Points to note:
NHS Rx charges tend to go up in April. So getting your timings right and buying a cerificate before then means you'll be covered and will have paid just the old rate.
You can opt for a digital PPC which can be emailed to you. Paper ones takes around 10 days to arrive. Should you opt for the latter and need NHS prescribed meds whilst waiting for PPC to arrive, then pay the NHS charges as normal BUT ask for a FP57 form at the point of dispensing so that you can claim a refund.
