The way people online have largely become incapable of having a civilised discussion of opposing viewpoints. It's always treated as an argument, and people always come in with their knives out, ready to rip each other's throats out. Simmer down a bit mate, cos imo the goal should be to reach an understanding, not to call the other person stupid in the most varied ways. That just carries an air of two kids arguing on the playground.
I just think in general people have been conditioned by the attention industrial machine to be reactive and hostile by default. People are steadily becoming more and more like feral dogs, lashing out over the tiniest scraps of territory and food, and to feel like the alpha. And it's like we're steadily forgetting we're all just one group: the human race. We could be such a powerful collective if we remembered that.
This kinda devolved into more of a major complaint, eh?
