The way people online have largely become incapable of having a civilised discussion of opposing viewpoints. It's always treated as an argument, and people always come in with their knives out, ready to rip each other's throats out. Simmer down a bit mate, cos imo the goal should be to reach an understanding, not to call the other person stupid in the most varied ways. That just carries an air of two kids arguing on the playground.

I just think in general people have been conditioned by the attention industrial machine to be reactive and hostile by default. People are steadily becoming more and more like feral dogs, lashing out over the tiniest scraps of territory and food, and to feel like the alpha. And it's like we're steadily forgetting we're all just one group: the human race. We could be such a powerful collective if we remembered that.

This kinda devolved into more of a major complaint, eh?

It really is so ridiculous. People mainly are stuck in the mentality that "my POV is right yours isnt ๐Ÿ˜ก" toddler tantrum. There are billions of people on this planet. We will not think or believe the same as all of them. We will have opposing opinions no matter what. The sooner they can come to terms with that the better. It's part of growing up and being mature. Which clearly most people don't know how to do these days ๐Ÿคฆ

Realized one of the few YouTube channels I frequent put out a new video earlier. Found myself disappointed with every minute I wasted. I don't know why I bother, it's the same regurgitated nonsense I've seen hundreds of times before. Is there nothing left to explore? I don't want to believe I've exhausted this niche I've found myself drawn to. Especially when it comes to horror content, which seems to have become notorious for this in my life. Horror is the one thing I felt I could rely on, yet even that seems to have dried out. Nothing brings me the same emotional catharsis anymore.

Was prepping lasagna for dinner. Was in the process if cooking the meat but decided to start building the lasagna. My dumb arse built the entire lasagna all nice and beautiful and the it hit me that I didn't wait for the meat to be done and add it. ๐Ÿ˜‘ I mean I don't think I've made a lasagna before but....yeah...attention span was lacking. ๐Ÿ˜… it's fine though. Will just reheat the meat and mix it up in a bowl.

I've been doing some cooking lately, and things like this happen to me, too!

Forge on!

I miss @Lisa the Ferrociraptor incredibly much and I miss cooking for her and eagerly waiting to see if I passed the taste test, even if I cheekily slipped in some stuff she never really tried or liked.
I seriously miss you too hun. Life's just not the same so far apart. *blue
And seriously, the things you've tried in your food, and i've gone "yknow what, that's actually really nice" has genuinely astounded me. *hug

I actually liked it.
Was freaky.
I hated everything in the cucumber family.
I was terrified i'd take one bite and immediately reject it.
But i ate the whole bowl, and loved it.
You did so great with several other ingredients as well! I'm so happy you tried so much and that I could make some decent dishes for you.

One day I'll get you to try cucumber again and I'll make sure to make it incredibly tasty..
