The goals thread

Going to set myself a goal see if I can get myself out of the destructive way.

1, my self destruction is self implusive so my first goal is to contact someone before I reach the destructive ways and talk to them

2 use mindfulness again like I used to do

3 try and get outside the home for a little bit each day

not setting a time limit as I know then if I miss it I will beat myself up

My goalsfor this week:
- eat smaller meals/snacks during the day (4-6)
- drink lots of water - at least 6 glasses a day
- continue to attend steel band weekly
- go for a 30min walk twice a week
- keep all appointments
I've been getting better at eating smaller meals and drinking more water. My attendance to steel band is 100%.

Just need to work on exercising until it becomes more consistent.

1. Study hard for semester end exam
2. Pass exam with flying colors
3. Worry less, be more productive
4. Laugh more, cry less
5. Try to think positive thoughts each day

My goals:
1. Keep up with daily meditation
2. Complete @Petal 's April healthy eating and exercise challenge by eating healthily, walking at least 3 days a week and losing 5 lbs by the end of the month.

2. celebrate birthdays with my "brother of other blood"
3. wish my "older brother" happy birthday for the second time

My goals:
1. Keep up with daily meditation
2. Complete @Petal 's April healthy eating and exercise challenge by eating healthily, walking at least 3 days a week and losing 5 lbs by the end of the month.
You CAN lose those 5lbs. Walking is nice, seeing the scenery of the countryside or rush of the city. I find walking enjoyable plus I feel great once it is done. Endorphins and all that :) Listening to music while exercising definitely makes a difference. Your goal will become a reality.

My goals for tomorrow:

Go to work.
Exercise.
Eat healthily & exercise for at least 30 minutes.
Read a few pages of my book...

Before I do all that I need to get some sleep but not even a teeny bit tired.

Goals for this week:

1. Get to NA meetings and try to be open-minded about the intentions of others.
2. Volunteer to read something at a meeting.
3. Try to see the good in myself that others see.
4. Keep trying to acknowledge that my negative thoughts and feelings are not what they seem, no matter how strong they may be.
5. Try my damnedest to not act on those negative thoughts and feelings.
6. Force myself to go to the doctor and start taking care of my physical problems.
7. Get my lab work done.
8. Speak at a meeting.
9. Keep trying if I fail.

Maybe like many, Im finding it pretty hard to move forward at the moment, what with feeling so much emmotional pain in the present and so wrapped up in how it all came about. But I think I need to plan and do if Im to have a future.
So Ive decided to post some of my goals here and then I might feel more motivated to both work out what they are and to achieve them. I know the goals are very modest at the moment but that is where I am now. Thanks.
Goals for week

2. Exericise (even just running on spot) once a day.
3. Write a page of article every day.
4. Do something that use to really enjoy (like reading in bed) even if dont enjoy

Oops..still trying to get the hang of this. Sorry.
I’m listening to soothing music as meditation tracks too.
I used coloured markers in my bullet journal about gratitude..I started up again.
I am going to try to be nice to myself and others... I won’t expect them to understand me and that will be very nice of me to do for them that I wish to have done to me.
I will practice non judgments and mindfulness today
I will cook a nice supper for everyone tonight..
I will try to keep focus even though my mind is very upset and angry
