I'm a fan of Interstellar. I'm a sci-fi fan with a bit of a spiritual side. I'm also wildly pessimistic about the world lately, so it strikes me as vaguely plausible apart from the science-flavored magic. The visuals are absolutely stunning, and if I remember right, a scientific paper about the optics of black holes came out of the movie.
I am a movie and music fan and of the art, I have a collection of 1300 DVDs. Blu-ray and some 4k ultra HD. many of the classics from the history of film. The best movies and actors of every era from the 40's 50's until today. I watched Bridesmaids yesterday and some scenes did make me laugh, so it was a chill movie to watch. I miss that kind of movie, I don't know it they still make it these days? Oh, and I love that they use a song that I like in the movie, Violet by Hole.
And last night, while looking up the song Get Inside by Stone Sour, I found another song with the same name, but different genre, and I love it! I think it's my current favorite song:
The song came out in 2023 I think. So there's hope for new good music. Yay! You'll just have to try to look for it.

It's difficult to point an all time favourite but Mulholland Drive is definitely in the top 5 along with probably The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie, A Woman Under the Influence, Grey Gardens, Polyester... I've been rewatching some Almodóvar's and definately Volver and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown are also at the top of my favourites list. Recently I finally watched The Phantom of Liberty and loved it, it's the kind of comedy I wish I could write and direct.
Oh, man! Wow, I am impressed @Road to Nowhere ~I don't know if you ever talked with Jim (from this Cafe`?) but I'd have to imagine he'd be enamoured by your collection! Well done and a true cinephile. . : )

I've got to start watching TCM again: (Turner Classic Movies) / I remember, it may have been one month like August in the Summer, '08. They dedicated like an entire 30 days to Rita Hayworth pictures - in the evening. From what I can remember, she can dance! 
Usually, you get to see Double Indemnity after not much wait as well. Which is great--even if, that woman (who's name is escaping me) still scares me...

That's a great point, @Lisa the Goatgirl ! & I had not ever thought of it that way before--but you're right, they do-do that, to a certain extent (whether we are aware of it, or not?). :-D I used to always answer top films/movies by giving a standard answer of 3: hence, what I was going to start to do there, but it would usually be: Ikiru, 8 1/2 & Barry Lyndon (or some other Kubrick movie). Now on occasion if it was Not going to be so narrow (of) a "scope," it MIGHT encompass or include, the following: Persona/Late Spring/probably something by Luis Bu`nuel & David Lynch. Right now, I have a tendency towards Sofia (sophia?) Coppola/Copolla!
Lots of great movies that I have not seen in quite some time. And some others I've been wanting, or meaning to see. . ; )

That's a nice story too, @1Lefty ~on your wife. that's another thing I like about movies or film, is that like w/music, & maybe it's because they penetrate the subconscious I don't know... but they do have a tendency to time-stamp, certain "moments," & 'memories,' in our lives~
